Comforted by the religion of peace, rich people begin to flee.

And so the death spiral begins. All of the predictions of France being Muslim by 2050 may have been too optimistic. They did not consider floods of young, aggressive, male “refugees” and the flight of those who might have put up at least political resistance.

Maybe Mr. Obama will go live in Paris, and apply for a job as great unifier of the people there.

impacted by rising religious tensions between Christians and Muslims

There is no conflict between Christians and Muslims, all the conflict flows from Muslim to Christian. No Christians are beheading people, nor planting bombs, nor burning cars, nor marching through Muslim areas condemning them to death.

This is all going in one direction only.

I have read that a lot of Jews are leaving. It only makes sense that a number of them would also be millionaires.

But it also makes sense that anyone with wealth who wants a secure place to have a decent life would leave France at this point in time. Belgium, too.

What should be pointed out....is that after the last election...tax laws were rewritten in France, and if you were a man of substance....they were going after more of your money, so why stay? Little of this movement had anything to do with Muslims, which the article tries to hint at.

Also, having been to Melbourne and Sydney in the last month...I’d readily agree that lots of business expansion is going on and real estate (within a twenty-mile circle of either city) is dramatically escalating. It’d be hard for a guy to find any kind of house for less than $500,000 American dollars.

There is no non-islamic nation bordering an islamic nation that doesn’t have turmoil caused by encroaching islam.

Sounds like rats leaving the ship after destroying it....I think this type of immigration would negatively impact the United States, Canada and new Zealand as this population uses its money to influence politically the countries that they move to. We got to face the facts that a good percentage of those fleeing France are responsible for what is happening in France. By the liberal socialist policies they supported.

If they must, they should at least fund or materially support good pols, or when it comes to it, the resistance.

The irony is that for the most part these liberal rich pricks supported the muliculti BS that created the hell that is the modern French city.

I guess now they can smell the stench even in their private estates and want out.

The taxation laws in France freaked out a lot of people. Go look at Americans with businesses in Europe and how US tax laws are making them look at dumping their US citizenship. There’s an all-time record of Americans quitting the US as well, and that has nothing to do with Muslims, BLM, or climate change.

Go look at what happened around seven years ago in Maryland....state tax laws were pushed up, and a number of wealthy guys put their houses up for sale and moved either to Delaware or Virginia. Same situation....taxes forced radical considerations.

Hollande was forced to scrap the 75% millionaire’s tax, but people got the message that they were sitting ducks. It’s hard to know the exact moment to exit a sinking ship, but money leaving is a harbinger.
