Donald Trump is now the least popular American politician in three decades
LA Times ^ | April 1, 2016 | David Lauter

Controversy over Trump has failed to dent his standing with his core supporters in the Republican primaries, but his image among the rest of the electorate has plunged.

The share of Americans with an unfavorable view of Trump is extraordinary: 68% in the most recent Bloomberg poll, 67% in the CNN/ORC survey, 67% in the ABC/Washington Post poll, 65% from Gallup. The 57% unfavorable rating he received in the most recent CBS/New York Times survey looks mild by comparison.

Of course. Trump is the least popular American politician in three decades, not the dog-eating Marxist who destroyed our health care system, or the fat witch who let four Americans die at the hands of islamic terrorists.

This does not surprise me one bit, although I think the data may be over stating the problem. How was the question asked, for instance.

If I were asked about Donald Trump and polled about whether I liked him, I might answer ‘No”. That does not mean I would never vote for him however.

To the rabid Trump fans here on FR - you have to face the fact that Donald does irritate a lot of people for various reasons. Some of it is just that lots of people are either ill informed or are simply left-wing loonies. Others are put off by Donald often by his abrupt manners and over-large ego, along with his demeaning of anyone who crosses him. It is the latter which keeps me from supporting him.

Donald Trump was asked by his wife and daughter, Ivanka to try to act more presidential. He has ignored their advice to his own detriment.

As someone said; Trump is a mean sob, but he’s OUR sob.
We need a mean bulldozer to go in there and clean out the corrupt government of the Obama administration. Get rid of
muzzies and commies who have infiltrated our government, seal the border by building a wall (over 600,000 of violent crimes against innocent Texans by illegal criminals flooding across our Tex/Mex border- Google it)

Donald will take no BS, but clean up the mess- starting with Obamacare and the border.

Cruz is part of the establishment. He will NOT keep his promises to do these things.
He cannot beat Hillary in the first place- only a tough sob like Donald will tear her a new one.

“In our circle of friends, family, etc. there is not one woman who supports Trump which props up recent poll results.”

I found similar results when I polled Picts, occulists, meth-heads, phrenologists and pirates. We must live in the same neighborhood.

LAT is a communist block publication. I don’t know why anyone would post this BS.

Fact is, Trump is the most popular politician in many decades and possibly the most popular in modern American history.

Well this article mush be as true as Trump is Hitler and Trump is KKK......(sarcasm off)

Trump is the most popular U.S. Candidate sine Dwight Eisenhower. The Establishment is FREAKING OUT, and that’s why they are publishing this article.

The LA Times is a Leftist rag.

If the Times really believed this, then they would helping Trump get the nomination and NOT trying to advise Republicans who can defeat Hillary.

Anyway, this article is designed to appeal for weak minded people that fall for their bull hook, line and sinker.

Please forward this to the Trump campaign. I am sure they will offer you a highly paid consulting job as opinions such as yours are so insightful. Oh wait, no one gives a rat's rear end about opinions such as this, so never mind. So Trump will continue to fill venues without your sage advice. I know you tried to be helpful, thanks anyway.
