If Ted continues on – we are going to release the files we have, two weeks from tonight, and we will bury Ted Cruz forever in American politics… If we have to stop this guy from defrauding this nation, then we are going to do that.” – J.B. You are right, but that’s threading the needle even finer. It requires the knowledge of what resident meant at that time which was a commitment to become an American citizen.
Our founders prove more prescient every day, it seems. They wisely foresaw the probability of other nations attempting to take the POTUS position for the purposes of these nations behind the ruse. They tried their best to ensure that they would weed out all but the totally faithful patriots for the job of POTUS. And it has worked. WE are the ones who have failed the Founders. Voters are the ones who failed to uphold the Founders' vision to select as POTUS ONLY those with allegiance to the USA, which could not be guaranteed, but requiring that person to be born on US soil, and requiring his parents to be Americans, was as close as you could get.

I would like to leave you all with this. There seems to be a concerted effort to dillute or outright destroy the natural born clause. It is one of the greatest protections provided by the framers. We would do well to protect it, no matter how great a candidate or future candidate may be.

The RATs will rule him eligible just to get him past the nomination, then they will appeal and have him ruled ineligible.

Let's try this one more time. My post states the requirement for being eligible to run for the presidency requires both parents to be naturalized citizens. I did not state nor is it the case that the same is a requirement for American citizenship. American citizenship IS NOT the issue here. Running for the presidency IS. The requirements for both are DIFFERENT. It's misinformed voters like you who are sinking this country.
I am wondering if the reason that the Republican Congress never did nothing regarding Obama’s eligibility is due to the fact that they themselves have their non NBC.

Statutes cannot supersede original intent. The framers didn't want any British Loyalists from Canada to be president.
I’ve seen the same reports, about Ted’s mom voting there.
And only Canadian citizens were allowed to vote in the Canadian elections.
They’d do a census type list first, names and addresses; then check citizenship to build the voter rolls.
Finally Cruz has joined the primary. Whether true or not, I was sick of his media free ride.
