Dennis Hastert Molested at Least Four Boys, Prosecutors Say
NY Times ^ | APRIL 8, 2016 | MONICA DAVEY and MITCH SMITH

CHICAGO — Federal prosecutors on Friday for the first time provided details of sexual abuse allegations against J. Dennis Hastert, the former speaker of the House, asserting that he molested at least four boys, as young as 14, when he worked as a high school wrestling coach decades ago.

Mr. Hastert, 74, is not charged with the incidents of abuse because of statutes of limitation, prosecutors said, but he was accused last year of illegally structuring bank withdrawals for money he was paying to one of his victims in an effort to hide the abuse. He pleaded guilty in October to the banking violation, and suffered a stroke in November while awaiting sentencing, now set for later this month.

According to a court filing by prosecutors late Friday laying out their sentencing considerations, Mr. Hastert, a popular coach in a small Illinois town in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, gave one boy a massage in the locker room, then performed an unspecified sex act on him. Another boy, Stephen Reinboldt, who died in 1995, was sexually abused by Mr. Hastert throughout high school in the late 1960s and early 1970s, his sister and others told the prosecutors. And prosecutors said Mr. Hastert had massaged another boy’s groin area after asking the boy to stay in his hotel room during a wrestling camp.

“Defendant used his position of trust as a teacher and coach to touch a child’s genitals and then undress and ask the child for a back massage in a motel room,” the prosecutors wrote of that incident. “There is no ambiguity; defendant sexually abused Individual A.”

Prosecutors said Mr. Hastert’s life had been “marred by stunning hypocrisy.”

It's not so far away where one of the most powerful Republican so called conservatives rolled into office, knowing the potential for being compromised and blackmailed was very real. In fact, it appears he was not only being personally extorted, but we don't even know the extent or if he was undermined and compromised on a national levels. The potential for this was very real.

But not such a long way from the McConnells, McCains and Grahams. Unless you think he was a dramatically changed man when he took the reigns of power and played ball with the big boys.

“Where the F*** do they find these creeps... and HOW do they keep getting elected....”

because we keep getting told, “You better vote for this creep or else the Democrat creep will get elected!” Same thing happening the presidential race right now.

Used to be a mature readers DC Comic called Hellblazer, and one of the things Jamie Delano invented was a Caligula Club for the rich and powerful, where they get to unwind, drink a little human blood, watch shaved cats fighting in a glass cage, go upstairs and get ‘serviced’ by members of the staff, do some coke...

I don’t think he will be the surprise presidential nominee at the “brokered convention”. Denny, you could have been a contender!

No, most of Congress has been buggering the American Electorate for quite a while. It isn’t by any means limited to the GOP.

It is surely possible that he is the former. There is no doubt that he is the latter.

I just assume that anyone who gets elevated and rubber stamped by the corporate media (regardless of party) is a compromised black-mailable politician. Anytime one of them retires after multiple terms, I assume they were told it is time to go for the next sock puppet (or else), like Boehner being replaced by Ryan.

The minute one of them stands up for us and our country the dogs of war are called out and any minor or major skeleton suddenly becomes front page news cycled 24/7, while the real predators like these guys get nothing but accolades and puff pieces written about them.

The only way to fix this is mass ejection of all incumbents simultaneously to overwhelm the control system that is in place why we wait on the corporate media to destroy itself as a useless agitprop/propaganda club that has run its course. In a way, this election is showing signs of this happening if you look at Bush/Rubio and how nothing the corporate media or their elite donors did made a bit of difference in them winning.

They had no right until Obama made it so. Everything he did as POTUS needs to be rescinded.
