Today, we found out that we've lost our 22 year old son.
He'd been missing for a couple of days and they found the body this evening. He wrecked his motorcycle and ended up in a ditch where nobody could see.
I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to accept this. I don't know what to do with this.
And I can't pray.
I'm not mad at G-d or anything like that. I mean that I have no words. I don't know how.
Can you please pray for me? Just add me to your prayer list for a little while?
I cannot grasp that this loving young man is gone from my life forever. I don't know how to be all right with that.
I know that I need to sleep, but that seems like such a strange thing to do. I don't know how to function. What's normal when he's not on this planet?

Loving Father, we..her FRiends, as praying intercessors for Marie, entrust Marie to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the people who minister in your Name, and grant that this heavy grief be lessened. That Marie may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you.We therefore pray that You bless his dear family with Your loving care, renew their strength, and bless them with peace, comfort and understanding in Your loving name.
We believe in Your loving capacity for miracles, and ask for this on Marie’s family’s behalf.
As it fits your plan, place an amount of your love in this woman's life and comfort her body, her mind and lovingly grant her days of better peace and understanding. As Marie waits your grace and blessing please grant her an extra measure of patience, endurance and perseverance. Lord we know You are able to heal in all ways. Grant this Marie the wisdom to understand Your timing.

It hurts to read your post. My sympathies and prayers will be said for your son, and your family. You’re not alone in sometimes having no words to put into prayer. I believe He hears our thoughts and feelings during those silent periods when we are just trying to keep breathing.

I am so sorry for your loss. There are no ‘supposed to’s” in this grief experience. Each loss is its own unique experience so whatever works for you is the way it is. You will heal when you heal, cry when you cry, laugh when you laugh. There are no rules except for this one: be kind to yourself, let things happen in their own time.

Oh, Marie, I don’t have words either. I am so, so sorry. Don’t worry about praying right now. As others have said, God knows our hearts. We will pray for your sweet son, and you and your family and friends. May God support you and bless you all.
P-Marlowe — I just wanted to say I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your daughter. I can’t imagine going through these losses. I haven’t been on this site much the last few weeks so I didn’t see the news. May God bless and support you and your family and friends during this time.

I’m very sorry, Marie. I’ve lost both my parents in the last 10 years or so and there’s no family left alive that cares about me, to any degree.
