Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.
Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.
On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.
But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.
Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.
Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.
They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.
This email was sent out Monday afternoon.
St. Louis, Missouri:
“At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.
“The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.
“This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.”

I prefaced my comment by saying it was a “thought experiment”.
All the butt-hurt Trumpeters are crying “cheating” and “not fair” but in reality they are just upset with the candidate that the members of this group are supporting. They would have agreed with the same decision by the this group had the candidates been different. Therefor you can’t say what they did was underhanded or immoral. You can disagree with them and think they made a mistake - that’s fine.
Same thing with Colorado. They made the rules a long time ago. Cruz played by those rules and won. Boo-hoo. Go cry to your mommy. If Trump would have won, you guys would have credited his great organizational skills learned in the real estate market. If Cruz wins, it’s cheating.
You do know Phyliss Schlafly FOUNDED EAGLE FORUM. SHE IS EAGLE FORUM.
How is a coup on Eagle an attempt to keep Trump from the White House?
The lot is beneath contempt. Rules are rules - unless it is a rule concerning NBC-—then it’s out the window and ignored. Just like BO’B ignores our laws, the cruzers do the same.

I think all of Washington knows about his dalliances. If the establishment gets their way with Cruz and runs Trump out of the race I think the story breaks big-time right before Cruz can be nominated and in comes loser Ryan, Jeb Bush or Walker. Can see the hand-writing on the wall.

What I have read from your posts is certainly clarifying the infighting going on in Eagle Forum. As a Missourian most of my life prior to retirement, this is a sad chain of events.
Phyllis wrote a book which is one of the initiating items in my choice of life long conservatism in the early 60s as a youth. She has always stood for truth as she sees it.
Her recent disavowal of Rubio was an example of how sharp she still is today. Like her, her own family members have put a lifetime into the conservative cause. I think their internal disability to agree is similar to the division on this site — emotional because it is so fundemental.
