Cruz is slime.

tRUMP the Whiner is getting slimed because he is too lazy to read the rules of each State.

Expected someone else to do the lifting for him and they didn't and now he had to FIRE them.

Honey, I’d suggest getting that tick out of your ear.

My post wasn’t meant as an insult to Trump voters.

I am one.

Don’t particularly like you using my thread to insult them.

It was a call to fight, not to demean at all.

And which Colorado voters would that be?

There was a day when Cruz was much appreciated as a conservative voice for folks like us.”

Then we got to know him and realized what a slime he really is. Haven’t even heard the druzbots bleating the tired old lie of being so called “principled consevative Christian”. Bastards have abandoned God for Cruz.

And just when was that day? I guess that day waa back before most of us knew who he really was, like about 12 months ago or more!

“Ted Cruz rejected Donald Trump's claims that the GOP race is rigged, telling Glenn Beck on Tuesday”

Why can't this guy go on something other than Glenn Beck's show. I've never watched it along with 95% of other Americans.

>>It’s OK for Cruz to use every trick in the book, but not Trump.

They aren’t tricks. These are the rules as set forth by the Party Establishment to insure that politically reliable candidates are chosen by the Party Establishment for the nomination so that the best Progressive possible can lose to Hillary.

Why do you Trumpanzees keep acting as if your pitiful little “votes” matter in this multi-billion dollar industry? Can’t you see that the march to a Glorious Progressive Future can’t be derailed by temper tantrums from people who work for a paycheck and worry about where they will get the money to fix the A/C! American is better than that! Let the people who were born to lead and educated in the best schools be in charge and stop acting like you little people matter.

Kind of like Obama and company claiming to be the most open administration of all time - no foul deeds being performed here, folks - kindly avert your eyes and move on....

“CRYING AND WHINING is not a Conservative trait!!!”

Precisely! And that is what Trump does every time he doesn’t win or get his way. All of you liberal Trump supporters are going to feel very foolish if Trump gets the nomination and all of his “supporters” he brought (or bought) into the Republican party vote for Hilary or Bernie in November.

Thanks. Keep on defending those ridiculous 10 second speeches in CO. The whole CO process was rotten and everybody can see it except deluded Cruzers. Cruz is making a huge tactical error defending that GOPe train wreck. He’s tanking in the polls, falling two 3rd behind Kasich and not campaigning much at all. This is not a winning strategy for Cruz and as a Trumper I am happy to see him implode.

Cruz knows how to game the system. Trump knows how to game the presstitutes.

The former is fine, yet you keep whining about how Trump games the presstitutes.

So you are saying that Cruz talked the delegates into switching from Trump to Cruz?

More likely, you are talking about a state that did not directly elect committed delegates, but had a presidential preference that bound delegate slots or positions on the first convention vote. The actual people who would become those delegates were chosen later in county, district, or state meetings, which is where Cruz had a ground game in place to wisely get people favorable to him elected as delegates.

I am not an expert on the process, but many people (including Trump's campaign team) didn't seem to understand that selecting delegates is a strategically important function of running a campaign for the nomination if you care about what has to happen after the first bound vote for a winner to eventually be chosen at convention.

Was Trump really OK with letting delegates be chosen for him without his team putting forth their own list and working to get them selected (in states where delegates were not directly elected)?

Thank you for defending totalitarianism.

After all, the Will of the Party is paramount, not the will of the people. The people just get in the way of what The Party wants.

I suspect many delegates are having 2nd thoughts about Donald, and can be cultivated for 2nd , 3rd + ballots, once demonstrated that Donald’s high water mark is the 1st ballot.

Cruz is 3 steps ahead of everyone in most things he does, whether a campaign or as Pres. Trump relies on his “charm”, which has been rather bullyish lately, rather than study and fully know the issues. imho

Trump was so unprepared for the reality of the long tough campaign this has turned into. I saw his hired gun operative Manafort complaining that Cruz was doing back room deals- this from the king of back room deals- just too rich.

Cat Dancer---you're a winner. You gave me my answer. After this discussion, I researched further I realized the dirty secret that no one on FR talked about (until you) in reference to "Cruz's superior ground game" and his "courting the delegates," in states AFTER Trump had won but in which Cruz operatives stayed behind to "court" the delegates, and despite losing the VOTE to Trump the Cruz people got the delegates. Here's how it works:

Here's how the Washington Post described it on 4/11/16:

Under regulations established in the 1980s, delegates cannot take money from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors or foreign nationals. But an individual donor is permitted to give a delegate unlimited sums to support his or her efforts to get selected to go to the convention, including money to defray the costs of travel and lodging.
