Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton hold big leads in Maryland two weeks before the state's presidential primary election, according to a new NBC 4/Marist poll released Tuesday night.
Among likely Republican voters, Trump holds a 12-point lead over Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, 41 percent to 29 percent, with Ohio Gov. John Kasich in third at 24 percent.
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton leads Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders by 22 points, 58 percent to 36 percent.
Among Republicans, Trump enjoys the most enthusiastic block of supporters. Seventy-one percent of his backers say they "strongly" support him, compared to 51 percent for Cruz and 44 percent for Kasich.
"We're seeing in Maryland a similar pattern as we're seeing elsewhere, with Trump in the low 40s and then Cruz and Kasich dividing up the rest," said pollster Lee Miringoff. "Trump is well positioned because the other two are dividing up the pie."

If cruz does well in Maryland it will not be because of his conservatism
It will be because people are voting against trump and if cruz ever got nominated those voters would choose the democrat or not vote
The truth about Ted
He is probably getting more votes as the antiTrump than for himself
Once trump,is gone so are a lot of Ted’s voters
Senator Green Eggs & Ham isn’t winning any state with the beltway in it.
Um, he’s NOT doing well in Maryland . . .
He does much better in states where the voters are not allowed to vote.
Pray America wakes
Maybe Ted can have his buddies just cancel the primary and declare him the winner.

Is MD winner take all? Somebody please chime in.

How about a national primary, where all states vote on the same day? That at least would take away Iowa’s and New Hampshire’s super duper importance status.
Tried to find it for you, couldn’t find a thing specific to Maryland.
Awarded 3 delegates per congressional district and 14 statewide. Winner take all.
Looks like it is proportional type. Definitely not winner take all.

Maryland is expected to have 38 delegates at the 2016 Republican National Convention. Of this total, 24 will be district-level delegates (three for each of the state’s eight congressional districts). Maryland’s district delegates will be allocated on a winner-take-all basis; the candidate who wins a plurality of the vote in a given district will receive all of that district’s delegates.[4]
Of the remaining 14 delegates, 11 will serve at-large. Maryland’s at-large delegates will be allocated on a winner-take-all basis; the candidate who wins a plurality of the statewide vote will receive all of the state’s at-large delegates. In addition, three national party leaders (identified on the chart below as RNC delegates) will serve as bound delegates to the Republican National Convention. The RNC delegates will be required to pledge their support to the winner of the state’s primary.[
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Some of them might but don't forget that he has some delegates up there. Somehow I don't see this flipping things that much. Trump will still likely do very well.
So proud and happy. I’m a nigh 56-yr-old, lifelong democrat (registered in high school) who just switched to republican last month in order to be able to cast my vote for Mr.Trump in my state’s April 26th closed primary. He is the only republican candidate who has inspired enough to change parties—and I will NOT vote for anyone else if the GOP blocks his deserved nomination. I had been worried about the impact of the D.C. suburbs (endangered government workers) in light of Rubio’s strength in the Virginia District counties. Would be wonderful if Maryland’s Governor Larry Hogan stepped up to help Trump but he issued an anti-Trump admonition; wish Christie could intervene (he campaigned heavily if you will for Hogan) and the two join forces for Trump.
Having my state lend it’s votes and delegates to Mr. Trump will make April 26 even sweeter!! Praying that The Trump Train will, by the end of this month, gain sufficient momentum to sweep most if not all of the remaining states.
Ping!
