How has the “system” been working out for you and your family?

This is the reason the GOP establishment has always been able to shove establishment “moderates” like Bob Dull, Juan McQueeg, Milt Romley, etc. election after election.

Yeah, I know “it’s the rule,” but the rules have been written of, by and for the establishment.

It’s time for that to change.

They value their party machine, cronyism, perks and the comfort of the DC bureaucrat ambience that says “eff the voters.”

Their party values will become their shroud. About time.

Some people will respond to this by calling it "whining" in knee jerk fashion. They'll also say that he didn't have a ground game in place or that he wasn't smart enough to know the system.

It's all hogwash. He intends to put existing insider politics on trial before the American people.

I've learned more about the Republican party and about primaries this election cycle than I ever wanted to know. And, yes, I should have known it before and, yes, I didn't work hard enough to understand it. But the only thing that means is that the stench of the rotting political corpse reached my nostrils later rather than sooner. And I'd sooner see it rot than participate in it as it stands.

FreeRepublic has attempted to root out corruption in the past. It only makes sense that it should continue to do so now.

Thanks for your post.

Donald Trump is correct.

The Colorado operatives killed the vote in Colorado a few months ago. It was done for political purposes.

And it was done to prevent voting.

Trump is half right. The rules were changed in the fall for corrupt reasons. Trump still should have played the game under the rules he was facing.

Team Trump should have studied the rules, flooded those local caucuses that elected state delegates with Trump people equipped with lists of who to vote for as delegates (the local Trump coordinators, of course), and won some deelgates. It’s Donald Trump. We’ve all seen how many people he can turn out. He could have done much better than he did. Instead, he overlooked the process and lost. It’s the same mistake that Hillary made in 2008.

I blame the state party for putting party interests ahead of voter interests. But I also blame Trump for not paying enough attention to the detail side of a political campaign. He got swept in a state that he did not have to lose so badly. If Trump doesn’t get the nomination, it’s because he messed up (and maybe also because the party is corrupt, but he could have overcome that known corruption and didn’t bother).

Go Trump!

Cruz has any ideas that are not Trump's?

He can't have a rally

No one comes

He talks about a ground game that it is it.

That is not going to cut it against the out funded Cruz against Hillary

Delgates votes count 1 vote in the General same as mine if I vote. Trump is the only one who can beat Hillary

Don't show me any polls we have 50 separate elections for President and Cruz is only a Regional Candidate

Third in Virginia, Ohio, Florida no counties won less than 20% of the GOP Vote.

Ted quit for the party

👍This Billionaire sure knows how to talk to Main Street. The issue is coalescing support behind him and he's obviously milking it for all is worth. If I didn't know better I'd think he tanked CO on purpose. Combine this with the NY VALUES comment and Ted being a bumbling idiot when he speaks and you have the polls you saw yesterday. All the air has been sucked from Cruz's sails and he doesn't know what hit him! And note it's time for his missing steak too... How sweet is going to be.. Wtg Donald. Let's make America Great Again!. 👏

No, very bad point. The process we are currently experiencing is a private entity (the Republican and Democratic political parties) choosing who they wish to put on the ballot for the November Presidential elections.

It is a decision that can be made by a popular vote of registered party members, a popular vote of unaffiliated persons expressing interest in participating in the party’s selection process, or it can be made by the party management itself.

Is there one state in the union that allows a person to vote in both the Democratic and the Republican primary? Then people did not have a chance to select one of the two main candidates in any state.

What irks me is that in most states the primaries have turned into quasi-elections themselves, with local governments providing the infrastructure to conduct such elections.

Does your county election board run elections for the UAW union? Then why should they run elections for the Republicans or Democrats?

How Colorado chooses their delegates is up to the Colorado Republican State Committee. How Iowa chooses their delegates is up to the Iowa Republican State Committee. How the Republican National Committee selects their slate of candidates is up to the Republican National Committee.

Boo friggin’ hoo, Donald Trump. (This from a semi-supporter of Trump.)

Don’t be so harsh on Cruz. I know that nobody likes Teddy and he’s a real asshole, but Cruz isn’t a dirtbag. Oh wait he is.

Trump: 37% of the total vote, 46% of the total delegates, to date. The system is “rigged” in his favor.
