EXCLUSIVE: Colorado Caucus Volunteers Ballot Errors Hurt Trump Could Have Violated State Rules
Breitbart ^ | April 15, 2016 | by Patrick Howley

Volunteers at the Colorado Republican Assembly are coming forward with evidence to indicate that their state’s delegate selection process was riddled with errors that disadvantaged some Donald Trump supporters who were running to become national delegates.

The errors could have violated state bylaws significantly enough that some of the results could be contested, according to the volunteers.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took all 34 of Colorado’s delegates last week in a process that closed down traditional caucus voting to the public.

A handful of volunteers spoke to Breitbart News about the process.

“I’m the former Chairman of the Pueblo County Republican Party and the person who developed the Slates for National Delegates for the Trump team. The Colorado GOP website was filled with errors posted about the National Delegates,” Nancy Mizel told Breitbart News.

Mizel took a photograph of a ballot in Congressional District 7 that included ONLY the ballot numbers of delegate candidates, NOT the names of the candidates as required by state bylaws.

But Article Xiii of the Colorado Republican Convention bylaws (Assemblies and Conventions Section A) show that a delegate candidate must be identified alongside the name of the presidential candidate that he or she is pledged to support, so long as the delegate candidate discloses that information:

Candidates for national convention delegate need not identify the presidential candidate they are pledged to support, but may do so at their option. The ballot shall include the presidential candidate each candidate for national delegate is pledged to support, or shall indicate that the candidate for national delegate is unpledged. CRC Bylaws, Art. XIII, § A(5)(c).

Here are stories of three of the volunteers in their own words:

Did you read the article? Did you read past the blah blah blah to find that the actual complaint was that Congressional District 7 ballots included ONLY the ballot numbers of delegate candidates, NOT the names of the candidates as required by state bylaws? You tell me how that favors one candidate over the other. What is he saying is the difference between a Trump supporting delegate and a Cruz supporting delegate that makes a more complicated form favor Cruz?

Is he saying Trump delegates are less intelligent?

Donald Trump’s surge is all about less-educated Americans

"...How long will the Trumpsters here cry and whine...?"

Until about June 7, when The Donald crests 1,270 delegates. Deal with it, beeyotch.

I am starting to think Trump got more out of Colorado than Cruz did.
Cruz got 30 or so delegates. Trump got a cause and that cause may just propel him into the nomination.

The West Steps of the Colorado State Capitol Building
200 E. Colfax Ave. Denver CO, 80203

On April 9th, 3,900 Colorado Republicans voted in a closed convention. We believe that the 34 Colorado national delegates selected that day do not accurately represent us.

We will peacefully assemble outside the Colorado State Capitol Building to make a showing of the vast number of Colorado voters who are not represented by the 34 delegates selected at our recent State Convention.

We will also organize support for future legislative measures to bring the primary election back to Colorado voters.

RE:”He’s not whining, he’s winning” Rush.”

Trump says he's winning by whining about his losing

I am sure Hillary would give him something to REALLY whine about.

they needed an insider to be a place holder for the delegates and that turns out to be Cruz

I'm a bit confused by this whole Colorado thing. I can accept the placeholder thing. But if the insiders just wanted a placeholder, why did they pick Cruz?

You guys think you are really endearing yourselves to people by sacking up with the GOPe and trying to bypass the voters.

And you think you are helping Trump by trashing Cruz supporters. To think Trump doesn't need us if he wins is asinine. Of course you are a Trump supporter so that was redundant.

Political logic: If Trump is over 1100 formal delegates when he gets to the convention, the others will go to him. Why? because Trump can get over with just unbound - so for political positioning the others know there is no return on investment politically to back-stab Trump at that point. They will kiss his ring.

Who else would they chose, Trump?

They know better than grab a tiger by the tail.

Trump wouldn’t ‘give’ them back, Cruz is a noodle, he won’t be able to hang on to them.
