I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100's of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

“Supporting Trump over Cruz is settling for a McDonald’s hamburger over filet mignon.”

Ted’s convinced you that he’s selling filet mignon, but it’s really just a sh!t sandwich.

I’ll take Donald’s honest burger over that, any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

Cruz is a sellout but the Establishment won’t let him win the nomination.

They will kill the hostage once he is no longer useful.

Cruz has done better in every poll against the Dems than Trump has. There’s no evidence he can’t win.

Being younger than Hillary alone is a huge advantage. The older candidate hasn’t won the popular vote since 1988.

Ted Cruz is a phony. Why can’t you see that? Everyone else can. He is a GOPe Bushie. Worked for, owned by the Bush cabal his entire political life. Do you not read articles posted here?

Cruz claims to be Mr. conservative. Why do you believe him? All Republicans “claim” to be conservative at election time.

It’s just a label. It doesn’t really mean anything. You don’t trust Trump, I don’t trust Ted. I listen to Cruz speak and I don’t believe anything he says is “real”. It’s all an act. Can’t you tell the difference between when someone is just acting (phony) and when they actually mean what they are saying? Maybe not.

First off, thank you Jim for this thread. It's clarified your stance, and it has given people a chance to blow off some steam and clear the air. Something that seems timely.

I have pulled that R Lever, full ticket with one exception, for 35 years. I'm not a spring chicken. The exception was 2012, top of the ballot. I left it blank. Still, that's a fairly good record of party loyalty at the ballot box.

I cannot count the number of times people have bitched about career politicians. Talked about how the government should be run more like a business. How candidates are nothing more than walking-talking robots for the donors who fund them.

I for one, do not think that Mr. Trump is the perfect candidate. I doubt that he will be able to convince Congress and the Courts to go along with all his initiatives. I frankly think that some will be traded away in deal-making. Still, if only 5 things from your list are actually accomplished, it will do more for the country than any Republican since Reagan ended the Cold War. Yeah, even if it happened under Bush, Reagan still gets the credit for that.

Anyway, after 35 years, I feel like black people must feel in the Democratic Party. My vote is taken for granted. My support is assumed, so there's no reason to actually address the problems that I see.

That ends this year. I'm voting Trump, even if I have to write him in. End of story.

I know your prior stance on support of the candidate once the primary is over. And I won't disrespect that. If Trump is not the man, I'll disappear until after the election.

God Bless.

Cruz is [the most conservative running

As near as I can tell Cruz is a self-serving hypocrite. He has taken positions in arguing Supremem Court cases that are wrong or immoral or a laughable parody of a conservative.

His tax plan panders to the crony class at the expense of everyone else

He is clearly anti-democratic. I see nothing conservative in him at all. Just another ivy-league crap-weasel.

You're lying again!

Here are some cold, hard facts....

Yes, Trump has used some H-1B visaed people at Mar-A-Lago. Those job last SEVEN MONTHS an Americans don't want a seasonal job, where a second and third language is required.

OTOH, Cruz has always wanted to up H-1B Visas for people to come here and take high paying FULLTIME tech jobs, that Americans should have! Oh sure, he now claims he doesn't but he's a LIAR!

Ever since you supported Ted Cruz for Senator, he has done nothing but LIE to YOU and yet you hang onto him and refuse to see just what and who he REALLY is and trash Trump, who is an honest man!

Who did you want Cruz working for during the Bush administration, Gore, Clinton or Kerry?

Being a lifelong Republican who has helped to get Republicans elected and served in Republican administrations is what I look for in a candidate. That shows a commitment to our causes and the experience to know how government functions. You can’t fix a broken car without having studied cars and seen how they work.

Any history of donating to Democrats or going on TV speaking positively about them shows me there is no moral commitment to conservative causes in that person.

” Keep in mind, few people were given the golden spoon financial start of Donald Trump. He has had a bank of lawyers and financial people to help him his entire life.”

I guess you never read “The Art of the Deal.

I am buying a big bottle of Jack if it comes to that. I may have to be drunk on my azz to punch the button.

I invested in a half case of single barrel. When you have to do something nasty, better to go top shelf to wash it down.

u guys need to relax and remember whatever games are played November is the goal. Regardless of who our candidate is (trust me it could be a mop head), if we can’t come together to defeat the Bern or Hillary then we deserve what we get.

How does a tax plan with a 10% flat tax add to my expenses?

Art Laffer, Reagan’s economic advisor, said this week on CNBC in a joint appearance with Cruz that he loved Cruz’s plan and that it would create economic growth on a massive scale.
