"I have been making home made stuffing since I was 5, and it works in a Sunday chicken just fine."

My Dad cooked on the weekends, and made homemade stuffing too when we had roast chicken or turkey. It was delicious.

I used to like those Patio Mexican Dinners, at least as much as any TV dinner.

I just realized that no supermarket in this area carries them.

Have they gone out of business?

..and the peas that winked at you.

LOL, those early TV diners were a bit of challenge to eat but, as a kid, able to eat AND watch TV at the same time, they were sometimes what's for dinner.

"But...everything takes forever when you’re a kid...right?"

Yeah, and now that I'm an old fart, it takes ME forever to do anything.

Well, you need to bring that talent to the shoot this time! Homemade dressing is probably one of my favorite food groups! :)

Howdy, LUV.

I wouldn’t eat tv dinners when I was a kid but do occasionally nowadays. And I do love me some weenies and beans.

Mom and Dad liked the Mexican tv dinners back in the old days. Might have been the only ones worth a flip.

You couldn't make me eat tv dinners when I was a kid.

Sheesh, what a picky kid you were; wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep.....just WHAT DID you like as a kid?

:-)

I don’t remember trying the weenies and beans. Probably did, though!

You are a Turkey Dinner
Tradition and family mean a great deal to you. You love Thanksgiving because it brings everyone together. Why have that warm experience just once a year? Cranberry sauce and gravy is for life, not late November.

I LOVED the Swanson fried chicken dinner with the mashed potatoes and peas and carrots. When we had those as kids, we were in high cotton!!

The Patio Mexican enchilada plates were sooooo good too!

I have looked for those aluminum trays to make dinners for my in-laws but haven’t found them anywhere.

YOU ARE A SWISS STEAK DINNER

You make the everyday sound exotic. Sure, you could settle for “hamburger meat” or “Salisbury Steak” but doesn’t “Swiss Steak” just sound so much more mysterious? It even fun to say. You enjoy guilty pleasures, but balance them out with pragmatic decisions. Like “vegetables.”

It says:

Quiz: Which vintage frozen TV dinner is your soul food?
You are a German Style Dinner
You are dark, daring and inquisitive. You pepper your language with exotic vocabulary like “Spätzle” and yearn for the olden days — the really olden days. Medieval times.

Imagine that!
*GRIN*

Picky, I was! LOL! I wanted FOOD to eat and what was in those tv dinners wasn’t food. It was cardboard and paste. Yuck!
They’ve come a long way since the late ‘50s and early ‘60s.
Had a Stouffer’s tuna noodle casserole last night. Nummy!

How’d your day go? Did you get outside to enjoy that 85 degrees?
