(CNSNews.com) - Republican Donald Trump, appearing on Thursday's "Today" show, said transgenders should be allowed to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate."
"So if Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower and want to use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses?" host Matt Lauer asked Trump.
"That is correct," Trump said.
Asked for his view on the North Carolina bathroom controversy, Trump said the state has "paid a big price" for requiring transgenders to use the restroom that corresponds with their biological sex.
"Leave it the way it is," he said.
"One of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday, saying 'Leave it the way it is right now.' There have been very few problems. Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all of the business that's leaving and all of the strife, and that's on both sides -- you leave it the way it is.
"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife, and the -- the economic punishment that they're taking."

Trump said he doesn't know if he has any transgender people working for him. "I probably do, I really don't know."
Trump noted that there's a "big move to create new bathrooms" for transgenders.
"First of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. It would be unbelievably expensive for businesses and for the country. Leave it the way it is."

Bottom line is if a transgender is in the restroom with you likely won’t know it anyway. You have probably been in the restroom with one already and didn’t realize it.
But Bruce Jenner is a man who thinks he is a woman who claims to be still sexually attracted to women, right? What bathroom should he go in? I don’t see why this is so hard, unless I am missing something, which is totally possible.

Well, it’s what happened in Seattle. The law is actually based on what gender a person is feeling themselves to be in that particular moment in time that they decide to enter a rest room, and has nothing to do with whether one is dressing like a woman, or has a piece of paper saying they are on estrogen shots.
Let me weigh in with this. Drag queens have been around for as long as I can remember and they’ve been going in whatever bathroom they feel like going in forever. No one even thought about it until liberals started their campaign to make everything gender neutral and make states change their laws to specifically say “transgenders”, ie, who were called drag queens not too long ago be a protected class of people. That’s why Trump said what he said. In the Far East where I spent around 10 years in the military it’s not uncommon for there to be one bathroom and you walk in it and you might see a female backing up to to a urinal and if not she’ll be in a stall with the door closed. She’ll leave the stall while you’re still at the urinal and not you give you a second thought and go about her business. The same thing happens all over Europe, especially in France. There has also been many perverts get the hell beat out of them trying to sneak in a woman’s bathroom, and that ain’t about to change. But the drag queens, these pitiful bastards that actually think their another sex, will go in a stall, do their business and leave. Liberals are the ones that have made this an issue.
No doubt about it. Cruz is stronger on these issues. Not sure what a president can do now to get this issue back in the box. I am a Trump supporter and knew all along this candidate comes with a price. I just hope it doesn’t get any worse.

Nope. He did not. Jenner is now transgender. Again, the topic was about was not about males in women’s bathrooms.
Jenner looks like a woman, and no one would notice if she(it) walked into a lady’s restroom.

And again, where in these laws does it say that someone who says “I feel like a woman” has to be dressed as a woman?
