As a direct consequence of the growing support for candidate Trump, and with looming electoral defeat on the horizon, the Ted Cruz campaign now places all its “never voter” efforts on stopping Donald Trump from winning Indiana. However, Donald Trump is also polling ahead of Cruz in Indiana – so the Cruz campaign approach throws a Hail-Mary.
In an effort to improve fleeting chances, Team Cruz has struck a deal with the Kasich campaign. Team Kasich is to pull out of Indiana, and Team Cruz will give them free reign in New Mexico and Oregon.

Why didn’t the GOPee get Cruz and Kasich to agree to support Trump if HE was that winner? Remember the GOPee made Trump agree to run as a republican. Are Cruz and Kasich going to support Trump when he DOES get the nomination?
They don't care one whit as to how they are being perceived. They only want to retain their POWER at any cost. They will happily sink the entire ship of state to insure one more champagne and Brie party invite. They are TRASH!

Agreed! Not underhanded at all. The nice thing here is we see the candidates’ true motives. That is the point of primaries to flush out all the sewage.

That is a really good point. Trump has no obligation to honor his agreement to support the Republicans. They are going all in to destroy Trump.

The Cruz/Kasich message is that they cannot win so no one will be allowed to win not Trump, not them, not the party, not the voters and not the country.

This has nothing to do with winning the primary. Theye are conceding the election. If you look at thier hardcore base, they agree with this strategy. This is operation chaos II.
They are betting on Trump losing in the general. That way they can tell everyone that they did thier best to warn us, but “told you so.”
Look for both of thier campaigns to reduce staff. They will then pool resources to attack Trump in the general. They need Hillary to win for thier plan to work.
They need Hillary as a foil. They swelled the Republican ranks with Obama as president. They believe the same will happen with Hillary.
I don’t recall this type of collusion ever happening between two candidates who had both been mathematically eliminated from winning on the first ballot.
Even Hillary had the grace to concede to Obama in 2008 when she was mathematically eliminated. When Hillary is a better campaign role model than Cruz or Kasich, they have a huge ethical problem.
Scorched earth retreat. You have to lay this at the feet of the establishment though, this was encouraged as normal and healthy behavior, even to the pulling from the closet the last two nominees to enjoin the effort. Terribly handled from the start and we likely are all going to pay for it.
