A conservative governor, a westerner, and a woman: Gov.Mary Fallon (R - Oklahoma).

Well, you wanted a name and I noted there were no women on your list.

I don’t think California is in play. Too far gone. The only way we win California is if Trump sweeps the East and the Dhimmicrats stay home.

I believe he will pick someone who is currently active in the Senate or House. Someone who is highly respected and can negotiate the legislation that needs to be passed to Make America Great Again. Not an easy job!

Wish I did, if you read that article I posted regarding the selection of Ronald Reagan’s VP (post 99) you will get an idea as to how complicated the process can be........

I agree and have also been saying for a while that Newt would be a great Chief of Staff.

We need someone younger for VP so that they can run in 4 or 8 years (depending upon how long Trump wants to stay in office).

Newt’s too old, IMO. He would make a brilliant advisory regarding the legislative in’s & out’s.

I agree. Get the impression Gingrich is semi retired and does not have the energy to be on a Trump staff.

“I’ve been saying for months, Newt would be a PERFECT Chief of Staff in the Trump White House.”

Yep, or a member of a modern day Kitchen Cabinet.

Political suicide, two old white guys. Dems would be in heaven.

Trump needs someone who can also appeal to young people.

“What about Tom Delay?”

No. After both Bush and Cruz, No More Texans.

But that’s just me and the other Californians that gave the US Ronnie Reagan......

You really need someone on the VP ticket to help you win, or at least not lose. I like Condi Rice as far as a woman, goes because there is much about her story, unlike Obama’s, that people can emulate. She’s smart, speaks well, and can go after Hillary, and it looks more and more like Elizabeth Warren will be her running mate.

But for Trump, the VP is someone he respects and feels comfortable with.

Newt MUST be in the mix. As VP, I don’t know if you do much. Chief of Staff? Maybe?

Kasich? I hope not. Rubio? Maybe?

I don’t think Trump has thought about it.

Today is a day of rest, and to go after Hillary.

Giuliani for NY
Christie for NJ
Kasich for OH
I’m sure there are others.

Giuliani cannot deliver New York. Christie cannot deliver New Jersey. Kasich many not be able to deliver New York.

Tom Delay? The guy who has come out saying he’d not vote for Trump?

He should be in a place where he can do the most for Trump. Does the Chief of Staff do that?

I don’t actually know his strengths at this point. Twenty years out of Congress, he might not have the relationships and recent knowledge there to be impactful as much on that front. Is he too wedded to his image as a big idwa man at this point to focus on process and someone else’s agenda? Within an administration?

Maybe he would be great because he doesn’t have ulterior career goals at his age.
