Analysis: 11 key states shift toward Democrats
American Thinker ^ | 05/07/2016 | Rick Moran

Admitting that the political situation is extremely volatile, the non-partisan Cook Political Report has shifted 11 states toward Democrat Hillary Clinton for the November election.

The Hill:

“This has been an exceedingly unpredictable year,” the analyst said. “Although we remain convinced that Hillary Clinton is very vulnerable and would probably lose to most other Republicans, Donald Trump's historic unpopularity with wide swaths of the electorate — women, millennials, independents and Latinos — make him the initial November underdog.”

Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin were all shifted from toss-up states to leaning Democratic. The “solid Republican” states Missouri and Indiana were downgraded to “likely Republican.” New Mexico is now solidly Democratic, and North Carolina is a toss-up after leaning Republican.

The analyst also shifted Arizona and Georgia from likely Republican to leaning Republican.

Cook also moved one House race toward Democrats: Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, which was considered solid for Republicans and is now classified as a toss-up race.

Maine’s 2nd District was the only reclassification that favored the GOP, going from solid Democrat to likely Democrat. The Report classifies congressional districts in Maine and Nebraska because they are the only two states that don’t award their Electoral College votes on a winner-take-all basis.

Take this survey as a starting point for Trump.  It highlights the fact that it will be an uphill battle for the Republican to overcome his historic negatives in order to win the White House.

It can be done, but Trump has to either shore up his support among millenials, minorities, and especially women or find a way to depress the turnout for those groups.  The latter might be easier considering what Trump has been saying on the campaign trail.

Yes, they are out on their ledge. They are the spirits we were sent here to save. That’s what hurts. How can they be so bullheaded.

And Ted Cruz was more electable than Trump? Bush would have been a challenge for her? They are delusional. Trump is one big unknown for Hillary.

They have been wrong about EVERYTHING on Trump in the past year. Why are they going to be accurate now?

It isn’t a valid argument to advocate for a sinner because “sometimes God uses sinners...”.

Since everyone is a sinner, I don't get your point.

Isn't your statement the same as saying => "It isn’t a valid argument to advocate for a person because “sometimes God uses people.”?

If we don’t think Trump has work to do we kid ourselves. He can’t win this by just exposing Hillary. He needs to expand on just how he would fix the problems facing our country. Voters believe in Trump but need more “fill in the blank” type info to answer their remaining questions.

It's the illegals...

Good thing in AZ they don't register the anti-American invading hoards as voters like they do in Brownifornia (when they give them licenses to kill behind-the-wheel), yet!

Hope Trump sends Giuliani strait to TJ Norte to flush the cesspool before the infection is in toto...

Most sinners are doing the work of the devil, not of God. Now if God tells me later he used one particular sinner to do His Good Work, then great, I will become an advocate for that sinner. Otherwise, one has no justification to promote some sinner because God — Just Might — select that sinner to further His ends. To do so is presumptive.

AT has been rabid anti-Trump for months. The leader of them is the author of this post, Rick Moron, as he so fondly referred to in the comments sections.

The site has also been overrun by leftist trolls, as the owners of the site gave up on moderating months ago. I stopped reading it about 2 months ago...

I fully expect Cankles to be our next Prez.

The demographics are different and even an establishment Republican would have a difficult time winning.

Trump has a couple of months to prove all the naysayers wrong.

He’s used to beating the odds but right now, the election is Hillary’s to lose.

“You can only say that after the fact, not before. It isn’t a valid argument to advocate for a sinner because “sometimes God uses sinners...”.”

we are ALL sinners (some of us just understand Jesus is our Redeemer).

God uses sinners all the time, David, Moses, Abraham, Peter, Paul, you, me, every believer - and some of us are used for great things, not just small stuff.

I think maybe people are thinking of when God uses unsaved folks to do good things. Sinners who are resisting or have not heard of Jesus.

Correct. More precisely, all sinners miss the mark of His Plan. (Definition of sin from the Greek is the miss an archer would own at the target range when he missed the target, ...it was declared, SIN.)

It is more true that God loves to use hidden believers who have no worldly status to advance in His Plan.

It is also notable in the Doctrines of Divine Discipline characterized by 5 stages, each stage becoming more advanced than the previous stage if the nation being disciplined fails to return to Him. In the fifth stage of discipline, the nation under attack, frequently fails in part, due to its blind assumptions an enemy is attacking it, and the population begins to attack one another.

In His grace, He always extends grace prior to discipline, even to those who are about to perish.

Since the US isn’t directly mentioned in eschatology, we might be made an example for all the other nations of the tribulation due to those who fail to return to Him.

By November we'll be into another 08 style crash and Trump will win easily. The biggest problem Trump has right now is securing the salty Cruz supporters and he'll do that through effectively attacking Hillery and by picking Jeff Sessions for VP at the convention.
