I’ve been bashed here in the past for saying that O’Rourke isn’t funny and has never been funny. That has led to outraged private posts from Keepers of the Humorist Flames that included links to supposedly hilarious National Review columns. I’ll stick with Mad Magazine, thank you!

So who REALLY gives a rats behind who one person or another endorses? If the voters can’t think for themselves on the issues a candidate promotes, they shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
Perhaps a “test” needs to be given to all who plan to vote to see if they really know what Candidate A or Candidate B stands for. Might be an interesting test and lower the number of the voting population.
O’Rourke is an atheist libertarian whose says really mean, nasty stuff, but is given a pass because he is “a humorist”.
There are no conservatives at National Public Radio. Not a single one.
Exactly. What makes anyone think that leftist infiltration into major institutions would exempt the GOP? If I were a conspiracy practitioner , the GOP would be the FIRST place I’d put operatives. Candidates have all the right talking points, yet voting records reflect matters differently.
Their ability to play off each other on issues in order to raise funds is phenomenal.
Couple years ago you and I agreed on the various unfunny ‘conservative’ humorists, O’Rourke, Queenan, Gutfeld too IMHO.
These guys are unfunny in much the same way our supposed conservative leaders—Ryan, Romney, Bush (take your pick), Sasse, Kristol, et al.—are unconservative: when the going gets tough, or gets headed away from their own secret little safe zones, then they cave.

Actually, Trump is the real funny man. His rallies are so Jackie Mason-esque. Perhaps that’s the problem: people like Bill Kristol shake their heads and say “Too Jewish.”
