Challenge is getting Senate to pass and Obama to sign. That would be impressive.

This Rep from Texas is appropriations chair for DOJ and found in documents he alone had the power of the purse. He told DOJ they had to follow the law or he would cut their budget. He stopped the sanctuary cities - told Loretta Lynch to uphold the law or she would lose funding for the top earners at the DOJ, but he would still fund the border patrol.

Good but an indication of how sorry our system/representatives are. The cities are breaking the laws of the Nation and all they do is pass an Act to fine them for it. In a sane world the politicians in those cities would be introduced to Leavenworth instead of having their cities fined (no real punishment for them except if the residents opt to not reelect them).
Not as good as it should be. Why law enforcement funds? Cut all the federal funds to sanctuary cities off period. Make certain they understand they will not be made whole for the period they did not comply. Far, far past time to take off the kit gloves.
