Donald Trump should demand Congress pass legislation preventing politicians leaving office from receiving this kind of “speaking fee” income for a period of 3-5 years after leaving office.

The situation has really gotten out of control as outrageous “speaking fees” have become de facto quid pro quo retroactive bribe payments for services rendered while in office

The original cover price was $35.00 per copy.

If all copies were sold at the cover price of $35.00 per copy total retail revenues would have been 9.8 million dollars.

FWIW, unsold editions of Hard Choices have been going for 3-7 dollars a copy on Amazon for quite some time.

Hillary was paid a reported book advance of 14 million dollars for the book by Simon and Schuster, which has a pattern of paying the Clintons huge advance payments for books that lose millions and never even have gross retail revenues that recover the advance payment .

In other words, the advance payments are simple sweet heart deals used to legally convey cash to the Clintons
