Rush: 'Shocking' reason to be cited when Hillary loses
WND ^ | 05/23/2016 | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 05/23/2016 2:58:54 PM PDT by detective

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has received more than $21 million in just two years for giving speeches to large banks and corporations, and that could be the key factor in her potential political plunge, according to talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh.

“I think this is shocking,” Limbaugh declared on his Monday broadcast, citing a New York Post report on Sunday documenting the massive amount of money the former secretary of state raked in.

“I’m telling you, folks: $21 million over two years for 20 or 25 minutes? There’s nothing that screeches ‘out of touch’ more than that,” he said.

“I don’t think you’re gonna see this story in the New York Times or the Washington Post. I don’t think any of the nightly newscasts are gonna make a big deal of it. It’s gonna be the kind of thing that, if she loses, in their postmortems they’re gonna go back to and say, ‘You know what? We missed this when this happened, but the exit polling will show it, that people thought she was inexorably tied to corporate America.'”

Trump wasn’t my top choice in the primaries, but I look forward to supporting him in the general - despite the fact that so many of his fans on this board appear to have little more than contempt for those who don’t find him to be the new promised one.

And so far as Rush is concerned, he’s been a major force, if not the major source in advancing conservatism over the past three decades, bringing more people into the fold while a certain other individual was trying to decide how big a check to cut for the likes of Charlie Rangel, Chuckie Schemer, Harry Reid, and Teddy Kennedy. But I don’t expect the level of perfection that some in this forum apparently do - I’m happy to back Trump despite some of his poor choices in the past.

To neocon1984: LOL! Your defending RushRINO is in the VERY small minority of Freepers. But then perhaps you’re a RushRINO “full-throated conservative” like Lil’ Marco.

Dude, you know what a neocon is, don't you? A neocon is a Democrat who left the party because the left is too antiwar.

So it's not like he's hiding who he is.

excellent point

hardly anyone really wants to hear Shrillary speak, free or paid

the payments are for influence and back-scratching, not for the (non existent) quality of her discourse

I am of the understanding that Levin’s fiancee’s son worked on Cruz’ campaign.

The reason I left out Savage is because as recently as last Friday’s show he was complaining and criticizing Trump for catering too much to the establishment, citing some of his recent campaign operatives. He ranted about Trump moving too much toward the middle.
I acknowledge he has been a key Trump advocate, although there have been a few bumps in the road.
Hopefully, his issues with Trump will be smoothed over soon and he will be fully aboard the Trump Train again.
His motto: Border, Language, Culture is indeed a blueprint for Trump’s campaign themes and it has been great to listen to his frequent Trump interviews.
Again, if not for the recent aforementioned conflict, I would have included Michael Savage (with Hannity and Ingraham).

P.S.
I plan to continue listening to The Savage Nation for the time being. I hope he won’t have any more misgivings about supporting Mr. Trump!!

It hit me on 12/08/15 that he was running on Savage's platform, I don't know if I am the 1st to speak it here in FR.:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3370003/posts?page=15#15

I called Jeff Kuhner ( WRKO 680am Boston ) a day or so later and told him my theory and he said "I never thought of that". I think I need my own radio show ;-)

Savage is the architect of Trump’s message.

I disagree.
TRUMP IS THE ARCHITECT OF TRUMP’S MESSAGE!
Trump and Savage just happen to see many things the same way.
I have listened to plenty of Savage since the mid 90’s; I have also heard Trump occasionally since the 80’s - and have read excerpts from some of his books much more recently.
I agree with Savage’s “Border-Language-Culture” message - I always have.
My problem - my great problem - is that he claims to have invented virtually all aspects of patriotism and intellection.
Trump has been holding some of these views since long before Savage was ever on the air; I myself have been holding some of these views since long before Savage was ever on the air.
I agree with Savage more than with Limbaugh, Levin, et cetera, but I am absolutely sick of the gargantuan egomania of these talk show hosts - especially of Levin and Savage.
Savage has a radio program to get his message out. That doesn’t mean that he invented everything in that message!
I am therefore sick of Savage trying to take credit for every worthwhile idea extant.

You can use any bathroom you “feel” like. But there are those that HAVE to vote for Hillary because she has a vagina.

Another Hillary supporter outted. If shit was electricity, Rush would be a powerhouse. He like you is Establishment Republican and would prefer Hillary in the White House instead of Donald.
