Dems discuss dropping Wasserman Schultz
The Hill ^ | 5/24/2016 | Alexander Bolton

Democrats on Capitol Hill are discussing whether Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz should step down as Democratic National Committee chairwoman before the party’s national convention in July.

Democrats backing likely presidential nominee Hillary Clinton worry Wasserman Schultz has become too divisive a figure to unify the party in 2016, which they say is crucial to defeating presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in November.

Wasserman Schultz has had an increasingly acrimonious relationship with the party’s other presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, and his supporters, who argue she has tilted the scales in Clinton’s favor.

“There have been a lot of meetings over the past 48 hours about what color plate do we deliver Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s head on,” said one pro-Clinton Democratic senator.

The lawmaker said senators huddled on the chamber floor last week to talk about Wasserman Schultz’s future and estimated that about a dozen have weighed in during private conversations.

“I don’t see how she can continue to the election. How can she open the convention? Sanders supporters would go nuts,” said the lawmaker, who requested anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the discussions.

There is no indication Wasserman Schultz, who is also a Florida congresswoman, has any plans to leave her post. And Senate sources stress that a final decision won’t be made until Clinton and Sanders negotiate some type of deal aimed at healing the party. President Obama, who selected Wasserman Schultz as chairwoman in 2011, is expected to play a major role in any such talks.

The Clinton and Sanders campaigns have already struck a deal with Wasserman Schultz to limit her role in the convention’s platform committee. Under DNC rules, she could have appointed all 15 members of the platform committee but instead picked only four. Clinton got to fill six positions, and Sanders chose five.

She needs to go anyway. That this can be seen as a bone to Sandernistas in public, explained as politically necessary (with attached favor) in private, AND be used to get rid of a less than competent executive is a boon for Democrats.

On the one hand, having her and her repulsiveness as the face of the Rats is a good thing.

On the other hand, I’d be glad never to see her mug on my TV again.

Too much of the country is vested in Sanders got the dems to toss him aside...

Clinton will offer Sanders the VP slot with the promise of special powers to go after Wall Street...

Sanders supporter will fall in line knowing their socialist will get their pound of flesh from Wall Street...

Debbie is one of the most question evading, vascillating, obfuscating, creative Democrat liars.
Therefore, she has excellent credentials to head the DNC.

I say keep Debbie Wasserman Schultz around so that Clinton and the Dems can scapegoat her for Clinton’s loss in November. Besides, the longer she is around, the more likely Sander’s supporters will vote for Trump.

I’ve seldom seen any woman with such tangled mangled hair. And this is when I’ve seen her on TV, when presumeably she has had hair and cosmetics done, in anticipation of being in front of the camera, and wanting to be an attractive presence.......

because the D party is going to start angling for a Clinton/Sanders ticket, and DWS will have no part of that sort of talk I reckon (and neither will Sanders with her in the mix).

The same problem will remain...Hillary...who can fix this?

The only way to fix this is to have Sanders become VP, but that is so inauthentic, his supporters won’t buy it.

So, there is no fix, even without Little Debbie....the Standard Poodle with Mayo in her hair is NOT the problem.
