White America’s sad last stand: This is why Donald Trump attacks “Mexican” judge
Salon ^ | Paul Campos

Posted on 06/04/2016 10:05:21 AM PDT by Petrosius

Donald Trump's white America exists only in the minds of the panicked and fearful who have made him the GOP nominee

Donald Trump was born 70 years ago this month, at the very beginning of the baby boom. At that time, America was, in every sense, an unambiguously white country.

First, in demographic terms, nearly 90 percent of the population was categorized as white. Groups that in the not-too-distant past had been considered only partially or imperfectly or not really white – such as Irish and German Catholics, Italians, and Jews – had by now been largely granted white status, as part of a melting pot ideology which claimed to transform a multi-ethnic population into a society in which race and ethnicity were subsumed into a single American identity. (That this ideology could flourish in a culture that still featured massive legal discrimination against African Americans indicates the extent to which white America managed to avoid even thinking about the existence of black people.)

Second, the political, economic, and cultural dominance of white America was so taken for granted by white Americans that it was, as a social matter, invisible to them. At that time, whiteness in America was what sociologists call an “unmarked category.” For example, if a white person had been shown a photograph of the Senate, it’s practically certain that he or she would simply not have noticed that it was made up exclusively of white people. (Nor would the observer have noticed that all these people happened to be men, but that’s a different topic.)

In other words, “white” and “American” were essentially synonyms. Hispanics made up less than two percent of the population, and they outnumbered Asian-Americans ten to one. Basically everyone in America was either white or black, and while in theory black people were full citizens too, in practice they weren’t, most obviously in the Jim Crow south, but in reality in the rest of the country as well.

That country no longer exists: or rather it only continues to exist in the increasingly panicked imaginations of the sorts of white people who have – it still seems incredible when one puts it into words – made Donald Trump the Republican party’s presidential candidate.

Today, barely three out of five Americans are non-Hispanic whites. In another two or three decades, “white” people, as traditionally defined, will make up less than half the population. White America is in the process of disappearing, and it’s no surprise that tens of millions of people who thought of this as their country are frightened by the thought that it isn’t any more.

All this helps explain incidents such as Trump’s claim this week that a federal judge who has ruled against him in a lawsuit is a “Mexican,” even though the judge was born in Indiana. Clueless journalists treated this as yet another example of Trump’s apparently bottomless ignorance, when in fact it’s obviously a strategic choice on his part.

To Trump’s supporters, a person of Mexican ancestry is Mexican, rather than American, because Americans are white, and “Mexicans” aren’t. To the overt racists who make up Trump’s – and to a significant extent, the contemporary Republican party’s – electoral base, non-whites are at best Americans by courtesy or sufferance, because America has always been a white country.

A few years ago, Trump discovered that there was an enormous untapped market, as he would think of it, for overt racism in mainstream American politics. This is why he laid the groundwork for his presidential run by constantly repeating paranoid nonsense about Barack Obama not really being an American. He was, as they say in the business schools, establishing his “brand.”

It is very important to keep in mind that Donald Trump is now the leader of the Republican party, and that this means the Republican party is now the party of overt racism, in pretty much the same way the southern wing of the Democratic party was the party of overt, unreconstructed racism seventy years ago, when Trump first began to contaminate the planet.

Saying so isn’t considered polite, because that would imply that, as long as it’s the party of Trump, and, more important, Trumpism, being a Republican is no longer a respectable thing to be. It isn’t.

It will not stick with anyone who understands what has been going on--or in fact, anyone whom we can wake up as to what has been going on.

See my response #25, which will explain some of the educational indoctrination that has led to this crisis of identity. Note, also, that millions of the victims of this "Let's pretend that peoples are interchangeable mentality," in actual fact, are non-Whites. The reality is, that what has been going on is not only a war against White cultures. It is a war against all of the distinct cultural achievements of the earths' peoples. Properly understood, it is a war against all traditional human ethnic aspirations:

See Democracy In The Third World. Or consider Self Destruction.

Or consider Diversity.

The pretense that people are interchangeable is both an insult and a direct threat to all of the earth's distinct peoples.

So it’s OK to physically attack us and our children.

If we aren’t allowed to visit a rally can you imagine the sort of intimidation they have planned at the voting booths.

If he wants white people to disappear from America, why does he continue to reside here?

The same question should be asked of any anti-America "American". We should ask the author if he is really, really white as in non-Hispanic White and, if so, when he plans to leave.

He doesn't of course, because when enough whites have left, it will no longer be America and due to his leftist connections he believes he will be accomodated.

In any event, his sincerity is certainly in doubt but his political viewpoint can be safely predicted.

What last stand? We are 70% of the population. If we ever start voting as a block, progressives will win nothing - ever.

Mexicans and othe South Americans are F@cking WHITE! They have the same ancestry as those who populate North America. A mix of European, Native and African decent.

And this is the tragedy. If Mexicans came here to be American, to speak English and to assimilate with and identify with the native Anglo population then there would not be much opposition to Hispanic immigration. We just had two Republican candidates that were of Hispanic background. But they identified themselves as Americans and not as Hispanic so no-one cared. It is by placing themselves in opposition to the native Anglo population, insisting on the use of Spanish rather than English, that is the reason for the growing opposition to Mexican immigration. I know of many second or third generation "Hispanics" whose only Hispanic qualities are their last names and the food their grandmothers cook. They are, and are accepted as, Americans because they do not see themselves as a separate tribe. But of course then they do not need the government to address inequalities that do not exist.

If Jose Rodriguez, Li Xiping, and Aarav Gupta want to come to the United States and become Americans then we our history has shown that they will be welcomed. But if they want to come here and remain Mexican, Chinese or Indian; speaking Spanish, Mandarin and Hindi and isolating themselves from the native majority population and seeking to replace it as the majority then they should stay home. As a nation we have an obligation to treat all our citizens with equality. But, and this has been lost on the present generation, those who wish to come here also have an obligation to join and assimilate with the existing native population. To import a foreign population to displace the native population is called colonization and we have a right to resist it as much as any other nation.

Why are so many of those “racists” admirers of Ben Carson? Why did the “racist” Tea Party elect two black congressmen in the South?

My fear is that this crap will take a more tangible and deadly form. That said, it is, after all , SALOON where the staff remains high or drunk most of the time!

If you have time to watch just one under 10 minute video today, please watch the video at the link below.

In it, you’ll see a reference to John F. Kennedy.  What possible connection could there be between Democrat JFK and Republican Trump?

JFK was one of the  last Democrats who, while he leaned somewhat to the left, LOVED AMERICA  — THE IDEA. (Yes, he and Bobby screwed up the immigration laws and several other things, but ALL these folks are mixed bags!) That love caused him to do two things that angered the oligarchs whose ideological progeny are today opposing Trump:  He signed an Executive Order authorizing the issue of United States Notes, a currency bypassing the Federal Reserve Notes the Fed creates from thin air and for which it charges us INTEREST for the privilege.  And, as a war veteran himself, Kennedy was preparing to pull us out of the quagmire called Vietnam, angering the Military-Industrial  Complex that 5 STAR GENERAL and PRESIDENT Eisenhower warned us in his Farewell Address! ( There is some conflicting opinion about the Vietnam thing!)

I may be wrong, but all the indicators I’ve seen so far inform me that Trump “GETS IT” (understands the goal of the New World Order oligarchs) and he LOVES AMERICA — THE IDEA.   He wants our kids and grand kids to have the same opportunities we have enjoyed in a sovereign and independent America and a unique economic system that, warts and all, has provided more people more liberty and wealth than any other in the history of the world.

Cutting to the chase:  Trump has pissed off the same folks whose ancestors took out not only JFK but only God knows how many others who dared challenged the Utopian oligarchs who do not lightly tolerate such insolence!

Trump is literally betting his life that he can beat the bastards!  Join me in praying that he is right!

In Mexico the dominant social classes are all primarily of european extraction (Spain, Portugal, France, etc.), all the lower classes are peon mestizo (native american mixes), you can see it in every aspect of life there.
The peons are treated much worse than any ethnic group sub group in the United States, for all intents and purposes they are still slaves to their WHITE EUROPEAN masters.
What we get here in the US are their social low (not lower, but the lowest) outcasts; their criminals, lazy, illiterate, trash, that the upper classes have found a convenient place to dump and make somebody else’s problem.

“Conservatives need to stop letting the Left define terms, define issues or define virtue. Let it stop now, while we can still marshal millions back to sanity.”

Can’t be repeated often enough.

Instead we have oafs on our side (I’m thinking of you, Rush and Hannity...) who gobble this stuff up if it comes wrapped with a civil rights bow attached to it.

We shall see how many of us can withstand the pressure that is being put upon us and will continue to be out upon us from now until November and beyond from the LSM.

Remember, even though your arguments make total sense and are correct, there are so many Americans who are so weak and cannot stand being called names or the thought of being excluded from what the mob dictates is the correct way of thinking. Political correctness is down but it’s not entirely out.

>> “What I am concerned about is Liberty and the distinct [classical] American values/culture: the one which was highly distrustful of authority (from today’s perspective), which put in place the Constitution designed to actually restrain government.” > > Are you not aware that is a uniquely white political construct?

I know it’s unique; and that it was originated by white men.

> It originate in, and is sustained by white people. And, to be fully honest, one which has been adopted by many non-whites.

I don’t believe that it necessarily requires whites to be sustained; far more impotent is the Christian ethos.

> Still, eliminate white people and it’s one which will cease to exist.

The non-whites you mention adopting it could sustain it w/o whites, supposing the anti-American invaders are out of the picture. The biggest threat is not “non-whites”, it’s an alien invasion aided and abetted by our own government for the sake of replacing a people holding to liberty and individual rights with a population accepting/expectant of massive government corruption and a certain learned helplessness.
