Gingrich: Trump remarks about judge 'mistake,' 'inexcusable'
Fox News ^ | June 05, 2016

Donald Trump supporter Newt Gingrich on Sunday sharply criticized the presumptive GOP presidential nominee for his racially-sensitive remarks about the judge presiding over the Trump University civil fraud case.

“It was one of the worst mistakes Trump has made. Inexcusable,” the former GOP House speaker, who has become one of Trump’s closest advisers, told “Fox News Sunday.”

Trump has argued that American-born District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, whose parents are from Mexico, is biased against him, considering Trump’s vow to build a wall along the southern U.S. border to keep out Mexicans.

“He’s Mexican,” Trump told CNN on Friday. “We’re building a wall between here and Mexico.”

Gingrich, whose is considered a potential Trump running-mate, also called the comment a “mistake” but stopped short of calling it racist.

“That judge is not a Mexican. He’s an American,” he said. “I hope it was sloppiness.”

The judge belongs to a racist group called “The Race.”

I think Trump uses certain words purposely. Pocahontas vs Fauxcahontas Mexican vs LA Raza... many wouldn’t get it/hear/listen otherwise.

I like Newt. He’s wrong.

It takes an impressive amount of discipline to avoid noticing that, if a Supreme Court Justice openly congratulates herself for making decisions based on her race, Donald Trump has every reason to be concerned about the impartiality of a professional Mexican like U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel.

...La Raza is the issue
************************

The Race, everytime somebody uses the half translation of the National Council of The Race, we should use the full English translation for clarity that they are a racist organization.

Just shut up, Newt.

Let Trump be Trump—he is spectacularly successful without your help.

He aims to take down the Clintons—something you never succeeded at doing.

Laura Ingraham said Trump’s comment was “an unforced error” and even if correct, had appropriate course of action. While it’s true there is recourse, if Trump’s legal eagles filed motion to correct the judges perceived bias the result would be the same. MSM/Left/Rinos all going ape.

I still like Newt. GO TRUMP!

Personally, I don’t care how Trump worded it.

I’m sick and tired of having to walk on eggshells while everyone else can be a blatantly racist as they want.

I’m done tip toeing around these mother f***ers while they assault us in the streets at will waving the flag of another country.

Former attorney general Alberto Gonzales: Trump right to question judge’s fairness

Former attorney general: Trump right to question judge’s fairness

By Mark Hensch

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales says Donald Trump is right to challenge the fairness a judge overseeing lawsuits against him.

“An independent judiciary is extremely important. But that value is not the only one in play here,” Gonzales wrote in a Saturday op-ed for The Washington Post.

“Equally important, if not more important from my perspective as a former judge and U.S. attorney general, is a litigant’s right to a fair trial,” he continued.

“The protection of that right is a primary reason why our Constitution provides for an independent judiciary. If judges and the trials over which they preside are not perceived as impartial, the public will quickly lose interest in the rule of law upon which our nation is based.” Trump on Thursday said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s Hispanic ethnicity is “an absolute conflict” in three civil fraud lawsuits against the billionaire.

He said Curiel’s “Mexican heritage” makes him partial because of Trump’s calls for a wall along America’s southern border with Mexico.

Trump isn’t playing the ‘globialist’ games...Newt should know that by now, just because Newt is one and the first clue was when he said: “If you come to America, your an American” WRONG!!!

When you apply to BECOME an American and are ACCEPTED, then you become an AMERICAN!!!

Trump is his own man, and he is the head of his own campaign, and no one, not any of his staff or family tells him what to do, when, how or why...

GO.TRUMP.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!

Newt would be a drag on a Trump ticket.

All Newt is doing is helping Hillary with his comments.

And yes, Trump should have mentioned La Raza and what they stand for.

Not sure what Gingrich’s game is here but on the surface, seems like he’s burning his opportunity to be part of Trump’s administration.
