Liberalism is generally hostile to Christianity and it particularly seems to dislike anyone who has strong religious convictions that conflict with liberalism. This describes every devout Muslim on the planet.
At first glance, the liberal approach to Islam makes no sense whatsoever.
Liberals go on and on endlessly about a war on women and Islam treats women like garbage. In many parts of the Islamic world, women are forced to wear burkas or veils, are given clitoridectomies to take the pleasure out of sex for them, can’t leave the house or drive without a male relative and may be raped or beaten with impunity.
Libs obsess endlessly about gun violence and constantly trash our troops when they accidentally kill civilians. In a large minority of the Islamic world (and a majority in many more fundamentalist countries), innocent women and children are considered fair game and terrorists who murder them in large numbers in places like the Palestinian territories are considered to be heroes.
The Left has gone so insane over imaginary violations of “gay rights” that liberals are in favor of driving Christians out of any profession that caters to weddings and they insist that women have to use the bathroom with men because the less than .2% of men who “feel like” women would be uncomfortable using the men’s bathroom. Meanwhile, Islam goes with homophobia the way peanut butter goes with jelly. There are a number of Islamic countries where being gay is a crime with jail or even DEATH as the penalty.
So, how can liberals continue to turn a blind eye to all of this?
As my friend Evan Sayet has explained, it has to do with the liberal emphasis on “indiscriminateness.”
They were raised to believe that indiscriminateness is a moral imperative. That the only way to be moral is to not discriminate between right and wrong, good and evil, better and worse, truth and lies because your act of discrimination – discriminating between these things might just be a reflection of your personal discrimination, your bigotries.

indiscriminateness of policy. It leads the modern liberal to invariably side with evil over good, wrong over right and the behaviors that lead to failure over those that lead to success. Why? Very simply if nothing is to be recognized as better or worse than anything else then success is de facto unjust.
There is no explanation for success if nothing is better than anything else and the greater the success the greater the injustice. Conversely and for the same reason, failure is de facto proof of victimization and the greater the failure, the greater the proof of the victim is, or the greater the victimization.
Once you understand this facet of liberal thinking, many of the illogical things that liberals believe make more sense.
Why are American liberals so hostile to the rich? As that old quote often attributed to Honoré de Balzac goes, “Behind every great fortune there is a crime.” That’s the thinking.
Why do so many liberals seem to loathe America even though we’re the richest, most successful country in history? Because the very fact that we’re the richest, most successful country in history proves we must be doing something wrong and unfair.
Why do white Americans have to be benefitting from racism and “white privilege?” Because white Americans are a majority in the United States and they’re doing better than most other racial groups.
Additionally, this way of viewing the world makes it extremely difficult for liberals to deal with Islam in a rational way. They are unable to admit that among religions, Islam has a unique problem with terrorism, violence and rape. They are not capable of admitting that there is a particular risk to bringing in Muslim immigrants. Even when a Muslim tells everyone he’s killing people because of his religion, liberals can’t acknowledge his motivation because to do so would mean that they’d have to admit Islam has issues.
Until liberals can get past their “indiscriminateness” blind spot, when it comes to Muslims, expect them to keep blaming anything and everything other than religion for the horrible things radical Islamists do.
Malcolm Muggeridge touched on this in his great polemic The Great Liberal Death Wish in Esquire magazine back in the seventies. A profound piece of writing.
I sense that once the liberals destroy everyone else that they will be able to destroy islam, rather they will have given islam too much of an upper hand and the left will then be destroyed by islam. Unfortunately lefty-supremacists aren’t far sighted enough to see this as the eventual realist outcome of what they are trying to wrought. Shame on them and their moral supremacy.
I’ll make it short. The rats are nothing but hypocrites
Does this make God, facing stubborn profligacy in the USA, a friend to leftists/liberals?
Or is He a friend to truth, even if the proverbial blind squirrel encounters it (because God in mercy sometimes puts it right before him)?
We should actually hope and work for the redemption of the worst in the world, even the people who now believe in Islam. Gospel is the only answer for their souls that will not lead to hell — which is the same story for everyone else’s soul. Would we welcome evangelization among Islam, or would we quail the moment we heard about associated martyrdoms?
Join the crowd. Humanity itself sans the permanent intervention of Christ is but worms.

The bible book of Revelation, which is commonly honored in Christianity as an accurate prophecy, does not even seem to show anything that looks like Islam. Eventually a single world religion appears to charm all humanity that has not given itself to Jesus Christ. It does not look like it is run from Mecca, either.
This looks like it might be the result of an evangelization that was good enough to take care of Islam, followed by another falling away of the people group represented by the sons of Ishmael. God warned that this people group would be beset by notable trouble.
People aren’t all that smart of themselves, though they like to think they are.
So true - a specific Hollywood actor comes to mind - champion of the poor - patron of the wealthy democrat party - “Do as I say, not as I do.” The need to feed the ego, I am better, I know better, I don’t judge, but you are bad, blah blah blah blah.
Personally I judge all the time, judgement is fundamental, it is part of ones character, it is part of life. Judge well, good judgement keeps us alive and out of the way of those who would harm us.
When Muslims kill enough liberals, they'll understand. I expect it will take a long time, and a large body count, and even then they may ultimately try to blame conservatives. Such is the depth of their delusional system.
God counsels us to judge with charity — do not join in somebody’s folly, but provide what good you can to him in a clear conscience just the same, in the hope of being a picture of God. Generally we cannot discern what dwells below the surface of a particular person without long acquaintance. Lumping a whole group into a homogeneous class called “liberals” militates against such discernment.
Not just judgment, but the KIND of judgment, is fundamental to life. And if it does not mirror God, we have gone astray.
I’ve done a lot of thinking about this lately, in the wake of the Orlando tragedy and other things. One thing that I’ve considered is how very desensitized the liberal mindset is.
Lena Dunham can talk about her private parts and expose them on TV and so called feminists can hold a nude protest against Donald Trump. But if Leggs or Hanes or any of the other womens’ pantyhose companies were to bring back the ads that they had on TV back in the 1970s through early ‘90s, the Lena Dunhams and others would yell sexism. Even though many here remember that time when it was still acceptable for a woman to be regarded as attractive and sexy for dressing as one, as per those ads and not having to engage in the sort of antics we see with Lena Dunham types.
As a result, it is a relatively easy step for them (on other fronts) to call anyone who finds women walking around in burqas somewhat to very objectionable a bigot. I’ve also had discussions with such people concerning Our One’s admiration for China’s Communist government in which they’ve rationalized to me (about the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution in which many millions of citizens were worked or starved to death or simply murdered by Mao’s government) that “it wasn’t supposed to be a Sunday picnic, wasn’t it?”.
That is why God has the final word, the final say, the final judgement. Judgement is a on going necessity of life. Everlasting final judgement is beyond my ability.

When actually they are not; there are subgroups of interest and when push comes to shove, they are prone to separate.
But if we just shrug off everything to some distant eternity, we will never let eternity visit our hearts now.

ofc it’s not actual supremacy, liberalism (as widely practices in America and Europe) is a kind of narcissistic moralism.
The narcissism of preening in the mirror and believing that one’s “conscience” is superior to others, without regard to actual facts and outcomes.
FEEL better about one’s beliefs and don’t worry about consistency or rigor.
It’sounds simple. The left (not “liberals”) is using Muslims as a tool to fight Christians and Western ideas. Once they win that fight, they will destroy Islam too
If the Muslims win, there will be no one to protect the liberals from the Muslims.
