This article is a lie from beginning to end. If there are any who try to assimilate, the percentage would be so low as to not count. The invasion has to be stopped until they can figure out how to determine who would come and assimilate and who will never be American. That is the point Trump is making. No one is vetting any of them and it’s evident there are terrorists coming in.. an open door and they are not smart enough to take it? Right!
Their “religion” tells them what they must do and not do.. ya can’t take any of them out and bring them here and think they will drop all that teaching and assimilate. Their “religion” won’t let them become anything but what they are taught... and it’s strict, harsh and binding to their end. Look at fathers living here who have killed their daughters for becoming Americanized... or wives who are killed for any reason. Look at the areas where they set up their mosques and their own laws... forbidding anyone outside to come in. They dress in their dress... they don’t change.. they are embedded with that teaching. They demand a room to do their “prayers”. They live a different life, period. They are not likely to assimilate into becoming an American... they ARE likely to radicalize whomever they can. Their goal taken from their “religion” is to change the world into islam and kill the infidels. Until the borders can know who is coming in, close them entirely! It’s ludicrous to do what obama is doing... no one is safe anywhere.. and neither is our power grid or anything else they would try to destroy.
obama has stated he would side with the muslims over Americans ... and he has. And we’ve let him.

I have a more mixed experience. I suppose that definitions of “assimilate” are important here as well.
Most of those that I’ve known that seemed to join in culturally were those that fled the fall of the Shah. These do retain cultural traits from their heritage, but are fairly eclectic amongst the members - and some becoming Christian.
A fair portion of Lebanese fall into that category as well.
As for those that identify as Palestinian, none that I can recall associating with have been significantly assimilated - except perhaps in over-the-top hedonism, with a mix of whacko.
I don’t doubt that America may well be “the best place in the world to be a Muslim.”
The question is whether that serves AMERICAN interests or not. Parasites who consume the host are not what we need.
Why should we believe any poll result?.....
Hell, the majority of Blacks haven’t assimilated after several hundred years.
As a non- Muslim I have the same interpretation of Islam as Muhammad al Wahhab and Sayid Qtub, and the Jihadists who die for the religion.
To me any Muslim who integrates into our Kafir society or collaborates with us is a traitor to Islam.

Have you factored in the publicized fact that it is generally not the 1st generation of immigrants the are the dangerous ones, it is the 2nd & 3rd that turn to it, not knowing that which their parents had fled from.

How dishonest. They cite a Pew poll as their evidence of assimilation when they could just as easily look at another Pew poll that shows that 60% of Muslims under 30 support the implementation of Sharia law.
Culturally it is not easy, as one evangelist to Islamic communities in the USA has shared with me.
Donald paints with a broad brush. There are doubtless ex-Muslims who have walked off the reservation, maybe in part because the reservation flatly rejected them.
I think of one of my co-workers, a Lebanese chap who originally spoke Arabic, who said he got kicked out of religion school when he got a little too smart with the teachers... said that trying to figure out God was like trying to divide zero by zero... this sounds like an independent thinker. There’s nothing in the dogmatism of Islam to keep such a soul.
But given the option to stay on that reservation, will they want to be part of the “Great Satan”? Simple common sense suggests no.
Time and time again you hear from them that they hate America. That’s not assimilating. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Same here. If you don’t embrace Western culture, then take yourself back where you came from.
