“Rush was never anti-Trump.”

Like heck he wasn’t. You must have had cotton in your ears.

Bingo. Some of the comments on this thread are hilarious: “so-and-so criticized my candidate, once or twice, waah.”

About time you came over from the Dark Side Mark!

I heard the Levin comment. It was stated in such a way that Levin let it be known there was no way he was on the Trump Train. It was more a begrudgingly offered favorable comment than a full throated one. I still wound up pulling the plug shortly thereafter. He causes pain in my ears. Perhaps the most grievous act conservative talk show hosts have done to us and the country (excluding Michael Savage) is to silence any discussion on Obozo's ineligibility to hold office. This issue was the most consequential of all Obozo’s frauds, because it gave him eight years to wreck the country. The story of the fraud and the cover-up will someday be viewed as the most momentous political/criminal event in the history of this country and the self-styled conservative radio truth purveyors deliberately put their jobs ahead of the country's welfare on this one.

I think he already put his “fat *ss” on the line (as you say) with his timely endorsement of Trump. As for a false friend, I don’t know where you come up with that?

Mitch McConnell wants him scripted. Ergo, now he’s scripted.

...

As long as it’s Trump’s script which it was.

Ratings. It’s all about ratings.

I am pretty sure Levin mentioned Biggirl last month 24th or 25th. I still auto download his podcast and my phone connects to the radio when I get in the car so I punch him up until he goes full on #NeverTrump.

I too was sorely disappointed by Rush and Levin but I won't give up entirely. I will listen until they start with an anti-Trump screed and off they go. Rush has nearly completely quit though he sneaks a snide in occasionally. He does not really like Trump, but he hates Clinton and all her ilk so he will not openly attack Trump any more unless........

Trump is also asking Bernie supporters to join him to get Hillary angry. Didn’t Mark Levin used to sell his book “Liberty and Tyranny” to liberals by telling them to read it? He’d give it away to liberal callers sometimes also. I haven’t listened to him since January.

Trump has used the Teleprompter at least once before. He did a smoother job with it this time.

Wonder how many listeners he’s lost in the past few months?

He lost a lot, he better figure out what's going on.

Rush was never anti-Trump.

Actually he was. He regularly praised Trump until it became obvious that he was going to win. I think his praise for Trump was an attempt to goad Cruz into taking up some of Trump's talking points as his own, didn't work.

I am a 24/7 member and have been since he announced it so I am a Rush fan. If you could have watched his antics when talking to Trump-pests you would understand how much he disliked Trump and his supporters.

I wondered what Levin would say about the speech. I almost tuned in to hear him rave about it. I mean how could he not just love it? But I resisted the temptation since I am boycotting him.

Why this fixation on Trump’s use of teleprompters, how many times, when, etc.? Obama can barely form a complete sentence without one, which is why he uses them all the time.

‘” He specifically mentioned Trump reaching out to supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and advocating protectionism.”’

Mark Levin is an ignoramus who simply spouts libertarian cliches about tariffs and protectionism.

‘Constitutional expert’ Mark Levin ignores the fact that the very first substantive Bill passed by the First Congress and signed by President Washington was the Tariff Act of 1789.

The Tariff Act of 1789 was both a bill for trade protection of American industry and a revenue bill and American industry prospered under it. Not popular in the agrarian South but it did as intended for American manufactures.

Mark is also a huge Lincoln fan. The 1860 Republican platform that Lincoln ran on strongly supported a high tariff, passed as the Morrill Tariff after Lincoln won the election. So was Mark’s hero Abe a fool?

Mark likes to claim that the Smoot-Hawley Tariff caused the Great Depression. Well no serious student of economic history believes this, since Smoot-Hawley was no worse than the Fordney-McCumber Tariff that had been in effect all through the Roaring 20s. Moreover the precipitating cause of the Great Depression was a massive collapse in the American banking system and had little if nothing to do with the tariff.

“Levin, Please don’t support Trump. We don’t need you, just your listeners that have abandoned your show.”

I understand how you feel, but suggest we adopt a different attitude. We should welcome pro-Trump converts with open arms. One, it's possible these folks have a following and we could use every vote we can get. Two, let's isolate the diehard Trump haters, such as Romney et al. Rather than send a message, “If it took you this long to see the light, we don't care about you”, let's respond, “OK, you've got much to make up for. Now, start banging the drum for Trump!”
