Meth will do it too. A family member did something sort of like this, and said the same kind of thing, An inanimate object was stabbed repeatedly and destroyed. He said he was trying to get rid of the demons in it. He said God told him to do it. Yes, this person was incarcerated thereafter.

States should reintroduce the death penalty and then expand it for crimes such as this. Jesus Christ stated that a perpetrator such as this one should have a giant millstone tied around his neck and tossed into the briny deep.
A Singaporean-type punishment of laying a brine-soaked rattan cane across his backside for about 50 repetitions before hanging would be most appropriate.
As others have said, this is like a strait jacket with a helmet. When someone high on meth or other drugs (bath salts) starts to go through withdrawal, it gets very bad. As ugly as what that child went through.

Oh my god ! These things are ridiculous !
People appear in court with these things !? That’s plain wrong. Like, constitutionally wrong. An orange jumpsuit is bad enough.. but these smocks make people look like Darth Loser.

Mind you, I’m not defending this piece of sh!t in any way. I can’t figure out why prison systems even WANT to prevent suicide. This is a problem that takes care of itself.
But I can only imagine some old Veteran appearing in court and being forced to wear these. It looks like a moving blanket.
