FOX cut away :-(

If Cruz's idea in all of this was to showcase "buyer's remorse", he sure miscalculated that one. lol

Ted Cruz is a legend in his own mind:

If anyone thinks He was eager to come to this convention & give a speech blah, blah, blah. He was not happy to do, but had obligation.

Surprised “Vote you conscience” was booed.

Ted “Vote your conscience” is the slogan of the anti-Trump faction. Period.

Thanks for the ping and see you all tonight.
Cruz extending his speech this morning and refuses to endorse Trump because he maligned his father and wife. Just now.
I’ll just say watching Cruz again this morning convinces me more what a deeply disturbed jerk he is.
His presser is more of the same.
Texas Delegate just said this election is not about you but about America! Ted answer said it’s personal.
Ted isn’t nothing more than a petty small bitter man.
Okay! Sorry that’s it.
Trump is the main topic for our future.

On paper, Ted Cruz should have been my man. But that little visceral alarm inside me went off early and often, and I have not been deceived in the least by the warning as Cruz has shown himself. What a pitiful person.

Morning nikos and all, the final day and on to victory in November. Many excellent speeches yesterday. Thought Pence came across as a real down to earth, loving and caring individual.

Today is market and doctor day, we leave early as it is an hour drive to Ridgecrest. Will be back to catch this evenings gala..........

Can’t believe Texas did not see through him years ago, though.

A few months ago when his college roomie was dissing him, many of us thought that was some kind of sour-grapes on the part of the roomie.

The way Cruz has acted in recent weeks seems to give credence to the roomie's opinion.

5. Pence. Gracious and humble man. Talks about our flamboyant successful charismatic leader, and they picked him to balance the ticket.

Just one of the highlights of an amazing speech. He did an excellent job of introducing himself to those of us that don't really know a whole lot about him. Though I've been a Trump supporter from pretty early on, I also know that, in order for him to win, he would need to have someone with strong Conservative values behind him. Early on, I hoped that would be Cruz. I'm thankful we got Pence.

Cruz sealed his fate last night. Although he was my second choice, and I hung to the hope of a Trump/Cruz ticket until the very bitter end, his actions last night was completely deplorable. He committed political suicide last night. Pissed away what little career he had left.

Ted Cruz is an island - he can fight all he wants, he’s standing there alone and he won’t ever have anyone willing to get near him.

I’m hearing that the Trump kids and others suggested NOT to have Cruz go on stage, fearing it would upstage Pence.

I think it turned out right. Trump HAD to offer the opportunity to Cruz. He had a copy of the speech two hours ahead of time. Newt made changes to his speech, and put that in the teleprompter. It was not ad libbed.

Trump waited until he was sure the guy was not going to endorse him, and came out at the last minute. I don’t see why Trump would want to under mine or under cut his VP Pence.

Morning Lysie, I guess it’s back to the basics, yesterdays feast is just a fond memory!

I’ll second the motion for Laura Ingraham as press secretary. I also think Jeff Sessions aide, can’t think of his name would do a good job. Haven’t seen him on the speakers roster to date..........

Thank you, nikos1121, for these daily convention threads. Though I, by choice, do not have a TV to watch, these threads have been very informative. Thank you again.

All aboard the Trump Train, headed for the White House.

Oh, and LOCK HER UP!

I think she deserves more. Maybe attorney General. OR better, SCOTUS.

The problem is what the average voter will see and remember... Stolen Speech and Cruz!! all the other great speechs got wiped out... IMO... hopefully Trump comes up with something really big tonight... we have to convince the undecideds... the Conservatives are already on board.
