It’s Official: Leftists Failed at Protesting GOP Convention
Brietbart ^ | 21 July 2016 | Brandon Darby

Posted on 07/23/2016 10:07:58 AM PDT by Mechanicos

Leftists promised rage at the 2016 Republican National Convention and failed to deliver. The anarchists and Black Lives Matter radicals tried their hardest and simply couldn’t get anyone to show up to participate in their efforts to attack Republicans and treat police officers badly. The attempt to turn the 2016 convention into a warzone–as their movement had done at the 2008 convention–simply failed. The Cleveland anarchists and radical leftists failed and simply sucked at organizing. This year’s fireworks from the “revolutionaries” proved their movement to be even more impotent than did their failures in 2012 at the Tampa convention. ....

Yes, the media hyped this like the vultures they are. However, I think many of us were surprised there were not more protestors and chaos at the convention. I think those who funded these fauxtest realized it was backfiring.

Given the emotion going into the last month it appeared to be building even discounting the media narrative. I think the Cleveland police did a good job and they deserve credit, but I also think the sniper and ambush attacks on police, as well as the Jihadist attacks in Europe, took a lot of the emotion out of it for those with anarchist tendencies. It’s one thing to chant something stupid in a march, but it’s another to see it put into action.

The Clintons pandering to these groups has been ineffective because there are a sizable number of people - even in the inner cities - who are questioning things. It appears that the liberal ideology of group politics, seen as the future power base of the democratic party, is failing under its own weight (finally). The unions can’t support unchecked immigration and cheap labor or a radical environmental agenda that kills jobs. The LGBT community can’t support massive immigration from Muslim nations. A large number of people in the inner-city are turned off by attacks on the police and they want law and order (remember, they live there). Much of the African-American community does not support the LGBT agenda nor do they support immigration from Mexico because it hurts them the most. The radical left can’t help themselves.... they always think their time has come and they go too far, but their coalition of grievance groups looks like anything other than a melting pot right now.

Hillary does not connect with minority communities or the socialist left. That is the base. We hear a lot about Trump having problems with his base, but they are mild compared to her problems.

Trump’s tact towards populism, nationalism, trying something new, and law and order is winning. Hillary’s stale and tired tact of grievance politics, her questionable record and lack of achievement, and her pander bear routine combined with the stench of corruption surrounding her is killing her. The DNC insiders have to be in a full blown panic even if the media does not discuss it often.

Every election the media makes it look like the GOP nominee is owned by the wealthy. Who looks like they are tied to Goldman Sachs now? The “I’m with her” candidate or the independent “I am with you” candidate?

We may be in for a major surprise in November. The irony of this election so far is quite enjoyable.

Four days was too long a commitment for the slackers.

You did good boys, you did good! I notice the lack of egg splatter, and it doesn’t appear that any of them were being chased and tackled by immigrants from Africa.

What is especially telling about this is that the current left has tools at their disposal that the 1968 left could not even imagine. Facebook, Twitter, The entire Media and Academia on THEIR side, Hollywood, and even the pResident of the United States cheering them on.

And what did they accomplish?

BUPKIS.

NADA, REIN, NICHEVO, NOTHING, NIL, ZILCH, ZERO, NULL, and a BIG GOOSE EGG!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Makes sense to me.

Actually, I think you both make sense. Your points aren’t mutually-exclusive.

I’m sure open carry and enhanced law enforcement might’ve had something to do with it.

“They’ll make up for it at the Dem Convention.”

The abundant public transportation links to Philly guarantee it.

The only groups you saw, were the ones getting paid by Soros. That's all there is to it.

It’s just a repeat of what happened in Ferguson when the Oath Keepers went in. Oh how the left hates guns in the hands of law abiding citizens!

Any show of “right wingers” would be laughable. Is it not illustrative of these people though, that many us will do our best to avoid leftists, and that leftists will deliberately go out of their way to harass us?

"The LGBT community can’t support massive immigration from Muslim nations."

Salient observation. Orlando, such a tragedy.

In the long run, though, it reinforces well-established racist attitudes from white gays. The caste order in the LGBT community is astounding.

They’ll have more success outside of hillarhoid’s party in Philly

I doubt it. They are playing for that "team", so why do something that will hurt the team's chances of winning? It'll probably be along the lines of the GOP convention - some will show up, but it won't amount to anything.

I think democrats pulled their thugs because polling showed it was working against them... The little goose steppers would be out there in a flash if dems thought it was working.

God, I hope so.

Burning police cars.

Destroyed businesses.

Stand down orders.

But Nobody will be Watching!

My liberal but learning missus will. To her credit, she watched a lot of the Repubs convention, although she was watching on PMSNBC (yeah, she's one of their few dozen remaining viewers). One surprise I got was that during some of the "lesser" but interesting speeches, FOX and MSNBC both cut away to commentary while CNN more often stayed with them.

The biggest personalized enemy during the late 60’s protests was the Vietnam draft.
