Republican nominee Donald J. Trump holds a 4-point lead over Democratic nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton in the critical state of Virginia and just outside the margin of error, a new RABA Research poll shows.
Among the poll of 655 likely voters in Virginia, Trump holds a 46%-42% lead over Clinton, despite her pick of Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine as her vice presidential running mate.
Voters are split on Kaine, with 40% of respondents saying they are more likely to vote for Clinton based on the pick, versus 34% who are less likely to support her and 26% stating it makes no difference.

I’d like to see other polling in VA before I buy into this poll. Wouldn’t put it past the friends of RATS to sway State polls so Trump burns money in said State.

That Democrat mole in the Fairfax GOP extended polling hours in a high-population, heavily Democrat area during voting for the super-tight 2103 vote that put McAuliffe in office.
If trump wins Virginia it is over. That would start a cascade that would end in Trump winning close to 350 EVs. States like Washington and Oregon would go red.

I live in WA - on the right side of the state that will go heavily for Trump, but I would be STUNNED if King County did and Seattle and the burbs are to WA as Chicago and its burbs are to Illinois.
A high hurdle indeed and one I would absolutely love to see.

I don’t know how to start a thread, but I’m going to put this “out there” and hopefully, someone else will start a thread. Someone has dug up naked pictures of Melania Trump. I’m a woman, and I’m not into porn, but the lefties, who normally love porn, pedophiles, and terrorists, are making a joke of her. She isn’t running for president, and this is why good people shy away from politics. The very people who love aborted white babies, and hate Christians, but love porn...are now making fun of Melania for posing for a naked picture. Without a doubt, she would probably be the most beautiful woman to ever be first lady. She is an immigrant, and democrats hate her. They HATE her. I used to be a democrat, and this is just ONE out MANY reasons why I became a republican. They are just flat out dishonest hypocrites.

I wish this mattered.... but it doesn’t.... the polls at this point are meaningless.... unless Trump opens up a consistent 7 to 10 point lead, none of the polls matter. Dems are great at getting out the vote.... Trump isn’t looking like he’s gearing up a huge ground game....and the DEMS cheat really well.
Polls will be all over the place until school starts. Then you will start seeing the trends. But a Poll showing Trump leading in Virginia is bad news for Hitlery no doubt!
Any Democrat would be near Trump. The generic Democrat vote is in the 40s and she is the ultimate Democrat insider. The election will be close, at best.
I like dumb decisions like that.
Two polls are discussed here. The Virginia poll was conducted by phone calls, 655 interviews among voters were conducted July 26-27, 2016, contacting a mix of land line and cell phone only households while the national poll was Internet only with 956 interviews among voters were conducted July 29, 2016 via internet survey.
