Donald Trump Set to Endorse Paul Ryan in Wisconsin

Donald Trump is set to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan (Wis.) during a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Friday evening, Fox News reported.

The expected endorsement comes three days after Trump told the Washington Post he was not “yet” ready to back Ryan in his upcoming primary election next Tuesday against Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen.

While Trump publicly praised Nehlen for running “a very good campaign” earlier this week, Ryan is expected to win the primary by a landslide. The House speaker leads Nehlen by 66 points, according to a poll released Friday by the Remington Research Group.

Trump declined to endorse Ryan on Tuesday despite his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, throwing his weight behind the Wisconsin congressman earlier in the day.

“I like Paul, but these are horrible times for our country,” Trump told the Washington Post. “We need very strong leadership. We need very, very strong leadership. And I’m just not quite there yet.”

When CNN asked Ryan in May whether he would endorse the business mogul’s presidential bid, the House speaker replied that he was “just not ready to do that at this point,” although he later did announce his formal endorsement of Trump.

Ryan warned Thursday that his endorsement of Trump was “not a blank check” amid concerns in the Republican Party that the GOP nominee is making too many unforced errors rather than focusing his attacks on Hillary Clinton’s weaknesses.

I’m speculating there is some deal making going on behind the scenes which prompted Trump to endorse him.

If Ryan starts to come on board, or at least be neutral, then there was a deal.

If Ryan continues to be pro-GOPe/RINO thinkng Hillary might be better, then there was no deal.

Really though Badgers are incapable of nominating anyone good.

Well, it is evident that Trump is not running his own show. Endorsing a guy that has sold out our country is not a good thing. I am not pleased. . . makes my support of Trump wane and think perhaps that this whole election is a farce. . .and that the USA is totally under control of the elite around the world.

I think this is a big mistake on Donald’s part. I do not know what is wrong, but something is not right.

And maybe that is all he will do. They are probably telling him he is another Ted Cruz if he does not endorse.

What is he campaigning in Wisconsin now anyway. Why not wait until AFTER the primary. I am with you about something not being right.

Someone sent me a link to Ryan’s wife’s bio and you know something isn’t right after reading that that Ryan would marry such a liberal in the first place. Who wears the pants in the family. I think it is the one with the “family money.” What do you think? Follow the money.

Said another way, voting for Hillary is voting for the Globalist/Anti-Borders/Free Movement crowd - the ones who say that sovereignty is passé (Soros, Clintons, Bushes, Ryan, Mitchell, Chamber of Commerce, et.al.)

I believe that there is and probably more than one. I have a sneaky suspicion that it is his campaign manager.

Ok, Bill Mitchell on Twitter thinks a deal was cut: Ryan just pulled TPP from a vote this year.

Hurts Nehlen, but this is the “art of the deal.”

I don't know enough to speculate, but this sequence of events is very strange.

And you're probably right, there may be more than one.

I hope he can do something about it, and soon!

the 700,000 people in his district

Does anyone seriously think they are going to dump the guy who is head of House of Representatives AND from their district?

No way. He is bringing home (to them) the bacon, both monetarily and power-wise.

A bit off topic, but everyone, you know what the good thing is?

The Olympics are starting tonight and there will be massive coverage, particularly if athletes start getting sick.

This gives the Trump campaign a bit of breathing room to regroup.

And Hillary can go get some sorely-needed bed rest. LOL!

“Trump is stumbling and fumbling “

That’s the media narrative and the rino narrative. It’s a bunch of BS. The alphabet news isn’t reporting anything negative about Hitlery. The rinos, as usual, are attacking Trump more than they ever did Obama either time. They make me want to vomit.

I hope Ryan loses.

Just heard a clip of Kasich on radio news saying McCain should not even have to run for reelection. He should have a lifetime appointment.

==

Does Kasich not realize why we had that spat with the King in 1776? The Senate is NOT the House of Lords.
