Ryan was pretty smart to say that the only endorsements he needs are those from the voters that he works for in his state.

This gave Trump an out to not endorse Ryan.

He was baiting Trump, to try to get him to not get behind him for his Senate seat.

Then Trump would look bad and the media would ignore the fact that Ryan made it clear that it is ok for Trump not to endorse him.

Hopefully Trump supporters in Ryan’s state will vote for the better candidate and oust Ryan. The will of the people.

Probably done for same reason, when trying to do business on the East Coast, he had to give bribes...er, “contributions” to Dems....just like doing business in about any corrupt 3rd World Country....got to do bribes to get anything done.
Joseph Stalin is going to outspent him 100 to 1 so he has to kiss GOPe ass to get any support.
Trump simply can’t win against the Combine (DNC, RNC, One Party Media and the Dem voter fraud machine) by himself.
Can’t run on Tweets forever.

there’s a power struggle going on and the GOP\elite are trying to force Trump into their way of doing things or they will tank their support.

From brietbart.com
Poll: Paul Ryan Leading Challenger Paul Nehlen 80 to 14
JANESVILLE, Wisconsin — House Speaker Paul Ryan should coast to reelection here despite a scare from Republican businessman Paul Nehlen, a new poll shows.
The Remington Research Group survey conducted on Aug. 3 found that Ryan leads Nehlen 80 percent to 14 percent. A minimal six percent say they are undecided. The survey was of 1,157 likely primary voters and has a margin of error of three points.

If this is true (which I doubt - other recent polls show Nehlen leading), then the voters of Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District are amongst either the dumbest voters in America or the most un-American and ignorant voters in America. They have a chance to replace a sellout with a patriot.

I’d be pretty damn happy to have Poliquin as my Congressman, though he has been disappointing in typical New England fashion. He’s a helluva a lot better than your last 2 Congressman.

I was extremely critical of Trump’s first primary endorsement of RINO Renee Elmers, which was just bizarre and thankfully didn’t help her. Only thing I can think is is that her BF the Majority Leader asked Trump to support her.

But I have to agree with 2 of these 3 (not McCain). Shoot me in the face for being GOPE scum if you like but I’m a pragmatist.

First off, Ayotte’s primary opposition is a joke, it’s capable neither of beating her nor the communist democrap Hassan, whom must be allowed to be elected, therefore there is no reason not to endorse her. She 100% will be the GOP nominee and Trump says himself, he can’t have GD Chuck Scummer running the Senate. No brainer!

I doubt this guy running against Ryan is competitive either despite FR wishing. New poll gives Ryan a gigantic lead. In any case this guy Nehlen’s campaign seems to based on 3 things, support for protectionism, which I and most other conservatives are against, the claim that the result of this one primary can “end amnesty” which is simply not true and therefore silly to claim, and the notion that he’s a stronger supporter of Trump than Ryan, which is silly and irrelevant.

Let’s not pretend a new Speaker would solve anything either, it didn’t the last time, just as I said it wouldn’t, it’ll just be another ugly election with another guy you’ll hate winning.

Ryan is backing Trump, it would look really bad if Trump didn’t reciprocate. Necessary endorsement for Trump.
Unity goes both ways, you can’t expect people to support Trump if he doesn’t support them. I realize most or even ALL of you will support Nehlen anyway but he never lit my fire.

I think McCain’s challenger, Kelli Ward, can beat him and would still be more likely than not to beat the democrat. And I think McCain being staked in the heart would be a good thing cause he sucks a lot longer and harder than Paul Ryan. So I can’t agree with this one. But it’s certainly very understandable. I would not be too upset over this. Two-way street again. That’s politics. I hope McCain loses to Ward but if he wins I hope he beats the Stalinist democrat partial birth abortion loving witch.

This kinda show of unity makes me more optimistic vis a vis winning the election.

"...You can’t have public feuds without angering the people who support them. It’s same way Trump supporters will jump to his defense. You go after another Republican, you will most likley lose some of their supporters..."

Like going after Cruz, Rubio, et al, right?

I think we have been shafted again.

Looks like Trump has done a 180 and is now main stream republican.

The primaries are over. The contest is now Republican — Democrat, not Republican — RINO.

The need for Republican unity trumps your aspiration to purity. The goal must be the White House and both Houses of Congress! Many of them will be wobbly, but that's still better than the alternative!

And the down-ticket is very important, second only to the top of the ticket. A President Trump is worthless if he can't get anything through Congress.

Of course, in the case of Ryan, things could change on Tuesday. But don't hold your breath.

BRAVO! You summed it up perfectly. The Republicans/Conservatives must stand together and project a united front. It's imperative to put aside our “differences” and unite. As Wisconsin's Officer Clarke has said many times on Fox, we must become ONE TEAM and have ONE FOCUS if we're going to win this game called the most important vote of our lives.Trump is no traitor to the cause. He's learning how to play smart with the Republican Party and the those politicians who aren't worth a damn. Repeat: we must project a UNITED front and stay FOCUSED. Trump is the only candidate that has the best chance of stopping commie/socialist/marxist Clinton. We either stand united and vote for our best hope, or we lose to the LEFT and our country, liberty and freedom. United we stand and divided we will fall.

I think it’s called The Art of the Deal, Folks. I am quite sure that Trump told these guys, support is a two way street. I’ll endorse, if you endorse me. For the good of the party we have to do this. This takes a huge talking point out of Clinton’s mouth.

Politically naive? I have been following the political dog and pony show for over 40 years.

Always the same thing. Vote for me as I am different than them and an independent thinker. But then they always revert back to being just one of the political clones.

If Trump wins, Ryan is in his back-pocket.

If Trump wins Ryan will be a constant thorn in his side. McCain too. Endorsement or no endorsement.

I think we have been shafted again. Looks like Trump has done a 180 and is now main stream republican. I and my wife will vote for him but that's it, no more money, no more work, no more anything but one vote each on November 8, 2016. I am still not voting for Bruce Poliquin!

Congratulations! We have another Tokyo Rose among us! Hillary loves you for it tool-boy.

There is a full court press to try to demoralize Trump supporters - lots of lies and lots of folks here willing to help by giving them credence. Mid September (and before) will make it a lot harder for the to spread the lies.

In the meantime, we can all help him build his infrastructure and gear up for when the time for a media blitz is right by donating to his campaign and Donate to FR while we are at it.

Anyone on FR that claims to not want Hillary, and who isn't also donating to Trump and FR may as well be liars who just like a free place to spout off while others do the heavy lifting. There are a lot of adjectives for them and none are flattering.....such as those who really try to demoralize our side - I call them "Tokyo Roses" - welcome to the official Tokyo Rose demoralization club.
