A chaotic scene unfolded tonight after a police officer shot and killed an armed suspect in the north side of the city of Milwaukee. Police were in riot gear and as they left in their patrol cars, rioters smashed their windows and attacked the cars. A journalist was attacked too.
A standoff between police and an angry crowd turned violent Saturday night in the hours after a Milwaukee police officer shot and killed an armed suspect during a foot chase on the city’s north side.
More than 100 people gathered near the scene at N. 44th St. and W. Auer Ave. and at times pushed against a line of 20 to 30 officers, some of whom were in riot gear.
At one point, the officers got in their cars to leave and some in the crowd started smashing the windows and side of a squad car that appeared to be demolished. Another vehicle was set on fire. As officers returned to the scene, this time many more in riot gear, three or four gunshots could be heard about 8:45 p.m.

This is a Milwaukee Police Department issue. Sheriff Clarke has nothing to do with this. The Chief of police is EDWARD A. FLYNN.

Re Sheriff David Clarke. Is he the Sheriff for Milwaukee City or the County (if there is such a thing)? Don’t remember but there should be a Chief of Police for Milwaukee city which is a different position.
As I recall, most COP for Milwaukee and esp. Minnesota have been leftist social engineers, PCers, give the criminals another chance types, and Democrats.

In 1968 Chicago’s Mayor Richard Daley issued to city police an order to “shoot to kill” any arsonists or anyone with a ‘Molotov cocktail’ in his hand, and ordered them to “shoot to maim” any looters.
You’re right about such orders stopping riots quickly.
And that’s what these are: riots. The MSM would have us think they are “protesters” and that’s nonsense.
Chief of Police of Milwaukee is Ed Flynn, my own county’s chief before he moved up to Massachusetts.
I don’t remember him as being anything special but we do have a pretty good police department

Let’s see how effective he is in dealing with this riotous mob. Will he defend and support his men or do a Ferguson on them?

Actually, Sheriff Clarke has sent a Bearcat and crew, and other support personnel to aid the MPD. He has no leadership role, however.
