The REAL story of “Stagger Lee”

An account I heard was that Mr. Lee and William were having a spirited contest of rolling the dice, and there were deep differences of opinion about the roll. Mr. Lee said he rolled a seven and William swore that he threw an eight. Mr. Lee was miffed because he lost all his money plus a new hat he purchased from a trusted source.
Mr. Lee, a strong 2nd Amendment advocate, went home and retrived a Clint Eastwood model .44 revolver and went to Dashante’s Ribs, an upscale gun free establishment known to him to be frequented by William.
Mr. Lee entered the establishment and advised the patrons to use extreme caution and remain motionless.
William was holding his customary “Mad Canine” 20/20 and saw Mr. Lee standing in the establishment, holding the revolver, and he heard Mr. Lee’s warning. He became apprehensive and implored Mr. Lee to not succumb to his baser instincts, advising him that he had three little children at home, and a few other scattered around at other homes, and his current baby mama was sickly, despite receiving the best treatment available with Obamacare. And besides, he said, if Mr. Lee would just wait a couple of weeks, he could get his EBT card recharged.
Evidently Mr. Lee was unimpressed with William’s situation and began discharging rounds from the revolver, also known as an AK-47. It was reported that William was shot so badly that a round actually passed through his torso and broke the bartender’s glass. Charges are pending, but Mr. Lee is asserting a “defend your turf” defense arguing that William had gained his personal property by means of fraud. No charges have been filed yet by the Austin DA.
The consensus of people in the neighborhood who were interviewed was that the shooting was justified. Many of the people interviewed said that they too had lost property to William in similar circumstances and they had deep reservations about his honesty. They were saddened though that the neighborhood lost a staunch Democrat.
