Hillary also repeated that no Americans died in Libya, and Lauer permitted her to continue her campaigning. Lauer was no "attack dog" with Hillary, but became a pit bull with Trump. Trump did OK, but the MSM (and The Guardian) won't tell Americans that.

Once again - with feeling:
The issue ain’t her “use of a personal email account”! It’s: 1) The use of a personal email account; 2) On an unsecured private server; 3) to conduct official business; 4) Exacerbated by the fact that many of those emails contained much more than CONFIDENTIAL information, including and up to, TOP SECRET SAP info.
The question I have yet to hear is, “How the hell did classified information end up on an unclassified email system?” To get it on an unclassified email system, “someone” had to knowingly download the information (requires privileged user permission) or scan it from a hard copy to an unclassified machine.
Why is it so friggin’ hard to get the talking heads on news networks to understand that fact?
Note to self: Never mention the fact that I can be prosecuted and imprisoned when speaking to Hillary.
Thinking back on my own security briefings and training, it was made clear that if I saw information that was clearly of a sensitive nature, I should treat it as classified REGARDLESS of how it was marked.

Yeah, I noticed that too - what’s worse is Trump didn’t bring it up either.
I feel like there’s something funny going on here, and I’d be interested in your opinion:
My understanding is that if the public had known in September of 2012 that the Benghazi disaster and murder of a US ambassador was a pre planned terrorist attack, and that the state department knew about it, it would have been rightly seen as utter failure of Obama’s foreign policy. That would have been the final nail in the coffin for Obama’s reelection bid. So, they abandoned our team, and let them die in order to cover up the truth, and spinned it as a spontaneous protest over a video, gone out of control.
If that is what they did, this is the most vile politically motivated coverup in history of the world and Clinton was right in the middle of it. I would think Romney, Trump or anyone running against either Obama or Clinton would sink their teeth into that one, and never let go.
Who cares about emails and handling of classified information except where it relates to exposing what really happened in Benghazi?
But instead, Romney suddenly fell silent. Now, if Trump too suddenly falls silent, don’t we have to wonder what the heck is going on?
I can think of a couple possibilities:
1. there is something in the top secret security briefings that the candidates just received that contradicts the coverup narrative outlined above.
2. There is something in the top secret security briefings that makes it ill advised to pursue the matter, or that would make pursuing it a breach of classified intelegence.
If Trump goes after her for the Benghazi scandal in the upcoming debate, as I hope he will, then he will be president and my whole question will be moot.
But if he steers away from that line of attack, as Romney did, you really have to wonder what the hell is stopping him...
Any thoughts?

I too wonder what happened to Romney - as I remember, he had Obama pretty much on the ropes during the first debate, and shortly before the end he actually got the prez to admit for I think the first time that they knew within a day or two that Benghazi was a planned terrorist attack and not some reaction to a video - somehow he veered off (maybe that was the night of the Crowley catastrophe, or not) and never went in for the kill - if they knew so soon, why two weeks later did Obama go to the UN and effectively lie to the world by again talking about a video as the cause - I waited for the second debate with great expectations that surely Romney would pick up where he left off and expose the sham, but it was never mentioned - for some reason he never closed the deal by driving home the obvious deceit in administration's handling of the affair - but Romney seemed to fade generally at the end of the campaign, so I don't know that the dive had to do with Benghazi alone.....
Obama and his ilk believe that words speak louder than actions - his whole administration seems based on talk and image - they tell the public what they want the people to believe and hope nothing comes along to contradict their story, at least too obviously - it's possible that they didn't respond the night of Benghazi because they thought the whole thing would blow over and they could go on with the fiction that they had terrorism well under control - but there are a lot of theories around about what happened that night - the day after I heard that we were actually secretly running guns out of Libya to the "rebels" in Syria, and that story seems to hang on - the inaction by the administration was maybe in hope again that the incident would go unnoticed so that the gun-running would be kept uncover - or maybe it was to avoid the embarrassing revelation that Stevens had asked for added protection multiple times and been ignored, again blowing the illusion that Obama and his people were effective leaders - maybe it was simple incompetence - maybe it was all of the above - there may well be something in the security briefings Trump's getting now that makes it impossible or unwise to talk any more about the issue - I don't know and I've pretty well given up on the idea that we're going to get much more politically at least out of further highlighting what actually happened....
I was concerned after the Forum because Trump missed a chance to go after Hillary for her treatment of the Benghazi families - somebody had hit him for his supposed mistreatment of "Gold Star" parents (he questioned whether the mother of the slain Muslim trooper was being kept from expressing her opinion - hardly mistreatment) - he could well have mentioned how Hillary lied to the parents of two of those killed in Benghazi, telling them even as they grieved over the bodies of the sons that it was a video that had gotten them killed - then later denied that she had told them that and even cynically and patronizingly "forgave" them for "misunderstanding" what she had said because after all they were upset by their sons' deaths - now that's really mistreating Gold Star families - that was my real gripe about the omission of Benghazi in the Forum.....
and that's about all I have to say about that.....
I wonder what Trump was referring to in his answer to Lauer about the security briefings. He said he found something quite “shocking.” It seemed to me that there was a coverup or deception about something.
