CNN is pushing the meme that the Somali and Muslim communities are afraid of a backlash.
CNN seems to have no sympathy for the victims. They are pushing the story of fears of backlash, rather than reporting shock and horror at the action which triggered concern in the first place.
The Somali and Muslim communities don’t have to fear a backlash from Minnesotans, but the Democrats do.

Seriously - if some professed Bible-thumper went out and blew himself up at a gay parade - it would IMMEDIATELY be labeled a terrorist act - no connection to some known "terrorist organization" would be necessary.
What is the definition of "terrorism"? Last I checked, it doesn't label WHO - it labels the purpose.
The Somali refugees have been in St. Cloud for decades. Per usual, the have not assimilated at all, and generally spend their days agitating for religious accommodations and increased welfare. They have no incentive to do anything other than suck up the generous welfare the state offers.
St. Cloud was known as White Cloud years ago, and crime was virtually nonexistent. Today, the people are cowed and will do anything to avoid being called racist. No honor could exceed being sacrificed to the gods of tolerance and diversity by a knife-wielding savage following the dictates of his pedophile prophet.
