I’m surprised that a fan is not built into the system, so that all you get is temperature, not trapped air heat/cold.
Looks like the old formula was whitewash, which gets its white color from lime. This reflects IR unlike modern white paint pigments.

It’s pretty obvious that whatever “global warming” we may be actually experiencing really comes from these concrete heat islands created by cities, large towns and highway systems - the so called “Smart Growth” the sophisticates like to push so that we can all live happily together within walking distance of all necessities to rid us of awful fossil-fueled vehicles - those of us living in the east watch the daily TV weather forecasts which always predict that temps in the regions of cities will be several degrees higher than those in the surrounding suburban and rural areas summer or winter - the real story of man made warming.....

Around 1990, while living in Tucson, I took to jogging and would regularly make the circle around Reid Field (an entire city block). At the corner of 22nd Street and South Alvernon Way is a trailer, which sits on top of a concrete pad, surrounded by six to eight feet of gravel, and then you the six-lane asphalt street which meets the other six-lane asphalt street.
The trailer? It’s a one of the climate stations.
I stopped one day and admired the heat conduction around this trailer. Then I looked at the trailer itself. On one side next to the sensors....was an air conditioner which likely ran 24x7. My humble guess is that if you added up the AC unit, the concrete pad, the asphalt...it was a minimum of four degrees hotter than it would be on Reid field itself.
It never made any sense to me. You could have moved it 200 ft over and put a cover over the trailer to keep the heat less and put the sensors on the other side of the trailer away from the AC unit. It was like...a 4th grader planned this and had no idea what they were doing.
Ten years later, I was somewhere in Las Vegas and noticed on the outskirts of town....another such trailer....same deal. Someone should just start a public database and we all spend some time taking pictures and documenting these across the nation. It’s an embarrassment that we allowed these idiots to feed false data continually....for decades....as ‘true’ info.
Anthony Watts, the author of this article, started a project to do just that. Just when he was starting to organize people to do it the entire list of sites disappeared from the National Weather Service's website. Hmmm, I wonder how that happened.

Another fundamental fact people should remember is that the primary CO2 monitoring station is located in Hawaii near an active volcano that coincidentally began erupting right when the “global warming” phenomenon supposedly started happening. So all the data they are using is contaminated and has to be “adjusted.” Of course, you can then adjust it to get any conclusion you want.
