The editorial board wrote, "Our country needs calm, thoughtful leadership to deal with the challenges we face at home and abroad. We need a leader who will bring out the best in all Americans, not the worst,"

According to an Enquirer editorial board member, the endorsement of Clinton is the paper's first for a Democrat since Woodrow Wilson in 1916.

They must have bought my hometown newspaper, the Muncie StarPress when they bought the Indy Star.
It is pure “progressive” now, bleeding red ink and begging for subscriptions. No way Jose.
Since I can visit for free online, rarely, for classified and gun ads, and don’t have to support ****birds like George Will and Leo Pitts, I cancelled.
A lot of other people have figured them out.

They should have consulted with the Dallas Daily News who did the same and now regrets their decision due to loss of subscribers. Enjoy your decision Enquirer as you collect your unemployment checks.

I rarely read except for my Reds’ news.

If Graham, McConnell, morning Joe, and Politico are conservative, then I guess it is, too. I’d be happy if they lose 50%of their subscribers...It would serve them right.

He apparently was a mental case his entire life and had severe post stroke problems and other health problems long before he became president.

Please do not go to their website. There’s absolutely no reason to give them any hits. The faster they go out of business, the better.

Big deal. They are owned by Gannett Corp. who are the largest newspaper distributors in the world based upon circulation. Gannett controls liberal forces like USA Today, the paper and the network. and liberal news sources like the Detroit Free Press, and two papers in Hawaii. They have liberal voices all over the word to include the UK. I’m surprised they ever said anything nice about the GOP.

Yep, Charles Evans Hughes was a good conservative. He went on to be the Chief Justice of the SCOTUS, and was one of the “Four Horsemen” who fought the excesses of the New Deal.

Same thing happened to the Indianapolis Star. Until the mid-90s, it was a staunchly conservative paper. Then Gannett came along...

Who needs newspapers?

Time for another Gannett property to bite the dust. Hopefully, the whole company will go down. According to the Wikipedia, that will add 18,700 to the fast food labor pool, holding down the cost of non-robot burgers.

I am sure that the many turncoat Republican politicians served as encouragement for this endorsement.

When did the ownership/editor/editorial board change? Or who in a high enough position with the paper does the Clinton machine have dirt on?

“Same thing happened to the Indianapolis Star. Until the mid-90s, it was a staunchly conservative paper. Then Gannett came along..”

Gannett bought our local fishwrap about a decade ago, and it went from a little left wing to horrible left wing. They used left wing editorials from their left wing newspapers and headquarters and tried to pass them on as a local editorial. That is what appears to have been done at this newspaper.

A bunch of us cancelled our subscriptions, and we let the local merchants know that they were wasting their ad money buying ads in a newspaper that no one wanted.

The fish wrap was bought out, and the new owners seem to try for fair balance.
