That’s for sure. He seemed to get lost on his way to answering a question. AND we do not need to hear the same old thing he’s been saying on the campaign trail for a year or more - over and over. He can cover the same pressing issues but for crying out loud, let’s see some variation on his take of those issues. He can get the same result of meeting an objective but needs to vary his words from the pat phrases that are really worn out. I found it quite irritating and like you - it’s just my opinion but isn’t that why we come to FR?

At one point during the debate, I could see the wire from the earpiece behind his neck (he turned his head a little so it could be seen)

I really would appreciate it if you would post a link to something OFFICIAL from the Commission on Presidential Debates saying that was to be permitted.

I spent a good bit of time doing searches to find out officially if the moderator earpieces are permitted as you say, or if they are banned as the articles I read say.... But I can find nothing official to confirm it either way.
All the articles I have found say they were banned after the debacle with Lauer, but all of them seem to be heresay. I posted the thread due to a request from a freeper in another thread, basing my thoughts on those several articles I read over the last week or so, having seen none that said that it would be permitted as you say.

I'm fairly convinced that Hillary did wear one for the CiC forum; not only were there photos all over the internet about that, her behavior suggested that she occasionally was listening to someone behind the scenes.
But I kinda doubt that she wore one last night, relying on knowing the questions ahead of time and rehearsing, rehearsing rehearsing, and knowing that Holt would be ambushing Trump with extraneous BS if she started to falter.

I agree with that as long as the moderator is limited to three words:
Economy / Trump (Hillary to follow obviously)
Defense / Hillery (Trump to follow obviously)
Illegal Immigration / Trump
Guantanamo Bay / Hillary
Closing statment: Trump
Closing statemen: Hillary
Nothing else should be said. Let the nominees go at it.
Any communication with one of the nominees, would be immediate expulsion for the moderator

I just wish someone would be held accountable in this F’d up government just one time!
Learn a 3 part strategy, a quick answer to satisfy hack-moderator question, what conservative policy is and why it works, why the democrats policies haven’t work and several examples.
And when it comes to a rebuttal, a quick, relevant, sarcastic, yet polite enough to be palatable. Don’t give a long answer unless you have it nailed down.
Based on your comments I’d say you’ve been taken. The corrupt ways of a conformist culture now hold you captive.
When a person sacrifices integrity and honesty like Holt has done, he ends up with nothing. Bitterness and resentment will be his only companions.
Even if you are liberal-hack you should have enough gravitas to do an impartial debate on a professional level.
