Donald Trump Has No Alternative but to Run Against Washington — All of It
Breitbart.com ^ | 12 October 2016 | Joel B. Pollak

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan may have inadvertently done Donald Trump a favor on Monday, when he held a conference call with House Republicans to inform them he would not be campaigning for the party’s nominee. Ryan irritated pro-Trump Republicans while renewing a bad news cycle that Trump’s strong debate performance on Sunday might have otherwise ended, probably to the benefit of nervous down-ticket candidates.

But Ryan also gave Trump something new: clarity.

Trump is now free to run against Washington as a whole, which is likely what he meant by tweeting Tuesday morning that “the shackles have been taken off me.”

Trump won the primary by attacking both Democrats and Republicans — which is precisely how much of the electorate feels. As he moved closer to the nomination, he had to tone down some of his attacks.

Usually these advice columns are worthless.

This is good advice.

My hope was for Trump to take down not only Hillary and the DNC, but also the GOPe and liberal media. So many masks have fallen off in the face of Trump, that it might just happen. It won’t be pretty.

Pray America wakes.

If he runs against the GOPe, several good things will happen:
1. His base will be strengthened.
2. He becomes a viable “not republican” alternative to Hillary for both Bernie supporters and Yellow Dog Hillary supporters.
3. He becomes a viable option to those in the middle that, truth be told, always vote democrat.

He could single handedly destroy the R party and, more importantly, the uniparty. Imagine him, after becoming president, declaring that he’s no longer a Republican and is now a part of a new “constitution” party. I can imagine a LOT of republicans switching to that party almost immediately, and others may come into the fold eventually, leaving the whigs...uh...I mean GOPe hanging out to dry.

It would be a bloodless revolution, and in times as dangerous as the times that gave us the republicans in the first place.

So does he now double-down on his “shackles-free” position and blow off the third debate? I must admit I can see benefits with going either way.

What would happen if he changed from (R) to (I) in the middle of all of this?

Can he do that? Is it a terrible move?

The sooner we put that whole DC distributed environment out of business and put ALL of them on the bread-line the better. Leeches and liars throughout.

No. I think he needs to force them to accept that he’s under their banner. Force them to keep on betraying him and let his voters tell the GOPe to suck it.

He can go independent later after he is elected. I want his supporters to see what WEASELS the GOPe really are.

"Usually these advice columns are worthless."

"This is good advice."

True, and Steve Bannon doesn't hide his involvement with the Trump Campaign, as the MSM does with the Clinton campaign. (While Bannon is on leave, I think Breitbart might have a better idea about what Steve Bannon wants known than Carlos Slim's blog (the NY Times) and Jeff Bezos' blog (The WaPo).)

If Trump blows off the third debate he will lose.

The second debate was to stop the bleeding and get back on his feet.

The third debate must be the killshot against HRC. He must bring out all of his heavy artillery, and fire an unrelenting barrage of truth against her.

Hillary has NOTHING anymore! The second debate proved that she shot her wad in the 1st debate and has nothing left. There is PLENTY more hammer Hillary with.

I think that was the plan for Trump, to bring it allll out in the end, so there are no more debates to re-butte it.

correct. This is definitely throwing deep (insert a better metaphor, as you see fit). If it works, the payoff is massive. A big “if” however.

IF that turns out to be correct....then Trump goes from being the best candidate ever to..what? The Best Candidate Ever? Yes, something like that.

Who could have seen his Mexico event coming?

No one...but him.

So...I am hoping and praying that you are right. I think you might well be if the past is a guide....

[“...declaring that he’s no longer a Republican and is now a part of a new “constitution” party. ]

To be quite honest, throughtout this election with the #NeverTrumpers beating the death out of the phrase “Constitutional Conservative” and shoving it in the faces of Trump supporters as if shaming them with it, I would be aversive to using that name for a party.

My choice is “Patriot” Party....

How does this sound....

“Are you a Republican or Democrat?”
“Neither. I’m a PATRIOT.”
