Thanks for the info. I hope I have cable, WiFi and electricity so I can watch the next rally. We are having high wind warnings here (see below). They cancelled them for yesterday this a.m. but have said more today and especially tomorrow night. The wind and rain woke me up about 1 this morning. It subsided for a while. It is really blowing out there now - wind whistling through the big, swaying pine trees (hope the one by me doesn’t fall on my house). Quit raining earlier and started up again a little.

I forgot about Turban Durbin - you said it. On the Pubbie side there’s always McPain and Linda Graham (though, thankfully, I’ve not seen them too much lately). One or the other or both used to be on every week on one bloody Sunday morning talk show or another. Ugh on all of them!

I think it is just a matter of not having or being internet savvy. This affects folk that I don’t consider old... some of my son’s friends in their 40s do not do anything on the Internet except play games. Never moved and keep contact with friends with texting & phone. No desire need for FB or Twitter / Instagram etc.
They have TV on wall to wall. Network news is their way to stay “informed” and if they are really with it they subscribed to a newspaper.

I saw tornado warnings on the weather channels earlier in Oregon and hurricane force winds for the Pacific Northwest.
Winds are extremely hard on the nervous system, to be sure.

Trump won't be calling into Savage. Savage says this is the first time Trump has promised a call, and not made it.

Among liberal friends and acquaintances, I’ve found the most effective tale is to say I was so saddened that Bernie got the nomination stolen from him, but since Trump is the only candidate left that’s not owned by Wall Street, and I know Hillary is lying and will pass TPP for her business buddy’s, I am now for Trump. Works pretty well with some.
