The FBI obtained a warrant to search emails related to the Hillary Clinton private server probe that were discovered on ex-congressman Anthony Weiner's laptop, law enforcement officials confirmed Sunday.
The warrant came two days after FBI director James Comey revealed the existence of the emails, which law-enforcement sources said were linked to Weiner's estranged wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
The FBI already had a warrant to search Weiner's laptop, but that only applied to evidence of his allegedly illicit communications with an underage girl.

Comey is dead professionally and politically. He is trying not to be dead Physically. Big indictments with a big net that catches the main players and makes the middlemen run for cover is his only chance. He is probably looking for his own Ecuadoran Embassy Suite.
There's simply too much out there, and not enough lies can be spun about it at this point.
Not to mention that the NYPD has most or all of what the FBI has, and I'm quite sure they wouldn't mind putting it out there if it looked like a coverup was being attempted.

I got a search warrant on a Sunday afternoon. I had to meet the magistrate at her condo pool where I swore to my affidavit and she signed it. (with people hanging out nearby)..for a relatively routine matter only reason for quick warrant was evidence might move..
in real exigent circumstances one can be had telephonically.

But, the vast majority of federal employees do not donate to political campaigns. They are civil servants and don't view it as proper to take part in partisan politics.
