I surely believe you.
HOWEVER, "DONT support murdering the innocent" is VERY, VERY, VERY different from the Catholic view that it is an EGREGIOUS, MORTAL sin to "murder the innocent," that is, fetuses in ANY state of development.
I'm NOT shocked though, at your attitude.
When defrocked, disgraced, extremely intelligent and gifted Catholic priest Father Martin Luther decided to parts ways with his once-beloved Catholic Church, 1500's, he paved the way for THOUSANDS of non-Catholic denominations to arise, exist for a while and THEN disappear into the annals of history.
Thus, "murdering the innocent" wasn't even the tiniest factor in non-Catholic Christian human history. It hardly COMES up even now because there was/is no uniform theology of those denominations.
I won't say "theology by guess and by golly" but uniformity of theology and moral attitudes is the CORE of a sustained faith. Catholicism is an example of a 2,000-year-old sustained faith.
Catholic Church history is stuffed with sinners, as is ALL human history, but the Church that Jesus founded so many centuries ago is STILL ALIVE and THRIVING.
Non-Catholic Christians have their own personal values and since they accept Jesus as their Lord and Redeemer, there is no reason for THEM not to survive and thrive. It's just a far more personal, non-unified approach. Nothing wrong with that either.
1.2 BILLION Catholics world wide means that His Catholic Church HAS to have value beyond the normal. One needs only "Google" the alternatives.
Remember when I said I wasn’t getting into a fight over your overly-defensive tantrums?
Yeah, I’m not getting into a fight over your overly-defensive tantrums.
All you have to do is acknowledge that there are ‘heretic’ denominations out there that oppose abortion. Instead you try to turn the thread into an anti-Protestant whine-fest.
Kinda sad.
These are Republican holds, not pick-ups.
Is Methodism still on board with the slaughter of the unborn?
61-39; Kennedy won Democratic Caddo Parish by 56 votes and lost in the two most populous parishes, Orleans and East Baton Rouge. He got 74 percent in Bossier Parish, the home parish of his opponent, Foster L. Campbell, Jr.

It did in 1960 too.
No, the final results are 61-39.
A comment I have repeatedly heard is that 98% of Catholic women use birth control at some time in their life. I have looked at possible statistics, and found this link which uses lower figures and compares them with Evangelicals, and mainline Protestants. There are relatively minor differences in total usage.

Bishops giving a “wink and a nod” to abortion wouldn’t be bishops for long???
On the other hand, plenty of bishops gave a “wink and a nod” to molestation of young people and children by priests for many years. What is the difference???
I have no idea. You would have to ask the Methodists on this site.
Information gathered from questionnaires and interviews is considered the very LEAST reliable source of data. THAT one learns in Statistics 1.
That WAS forty or so years ago. And, of course, ONLY Catholic priests/bishops were reported. You can ask SALVATION for information about the mandated psych tests, evaluations and interviews regarding men who want to be priests. The Church corrected THAT some time ago. She is able to provide that information to you.
Talk about skewed data. One wonders why men/women of the cloth of other denominations/faiths were NOT put to the test.
Of course with some posters there is NOTHING good to say about the Church, her clergy and, especially about her latest Pope Francis. So, I don't even bother responding to those "haters." They seem to listen ONLY to the Evil One...which IS their prerogative since this IS the FREE REPUBLIC.
A large field is expected to contest the treasurer’s election in either April or October 2017. Already announced is Republican state Sen. Neil Riser of Columbia, LA, who lost a special congressional election in 2013.
What about AL: who will succeed Sessions there? Special election will be required for House in GA for HHS Secretary-designate Tom Price.
I don’t know if you were referring to the to the article or the link I put in my comment. In the link, women of a number of denominations were interviewed to determine the statistics. I can understand why the Catholic Church would want their priests to be single so as not to spend money on their families, but that does not seem to hurt the denominations that do allow clerical marriage. Also, by requiring that men remain in an abnormal sexual state, the risk of aberration becomes more likely for some.
Well, this is not a new issue.
Some years ago Anglican ministers' wives were interviewed (England) and they ALL thought that a minister should NOT be married.
They said that there just isn't enough time in a day for a man to be a good minister'father to his flock, a good father to his children and a good husband to his wife. A single minister is able to focus on being a good "father" to his flock.
Also, believe it or not, it's REALLY not about money. Priests do not take a vow of poverty, so they CAN have all the money they want.
Being celibate is certainly a sacrifice that BOTH male clergy AND nuns make. However dedicating one's life to the service of God is a decision those men and women made.
Denigrating their dedication and sacrifice to merely "abnormal sexual state" is beneath you. For shame.
Dedication and sacrifice are what require the “abnormal sexual state” for a healthy male. Alas, when the dedication and sacrifice are not strong enough, it is then that we sometimes see abnormal expression of the sexual state. When dedication and sacrifice have to struggle against a normal desire, doesn’t that leave less energy to focus on being a good “father” to the flock?
