I disagree. Sharia is, in essence, compulsion. Implementing Sharia would be making it compulsory for schools to STOP girls swimming with boys.
In contrast, an accommodation recognizes that this is an allowable degree of personal liberty.
I say personal liberty is the opposite of sharia.
But isn’t this in the public schools? If the parents object to the curriculum, let them put their children in a private school at their own expense. That’s why I have my 2 in Catholic school.
Of course, the ultimate answer is to 1. not have a compulsory federal public “education” system. and 2. not allow immigration from cultures diametrically opposed to ours. But in the mean time, Catholic school for us! :)

I don’t care who you are I’m not big on government compulsory anything let alone government compulsory swimming lessons at school ...there are Christian’s that wouldnt want not their daughters forces to be in a mixed gender swimming lessons class...

When I was in school we always had separate PE. I thought they still did. Didn’t hurt me any.

The problem with that is they won’t stay there. They will eventually try to come here (USA).
They are spongers, but there is more to it: They are following Dawah and Hijrah: converting and subverting infidel countries from within.

Excellent point.
I strongly support parental choice as well as parental responsibility for education, and therefore I would like ALL education to be private, church based, or homeschooling.
But in the meantime, a public school does NOT have to insist on this scowling, take-it-or-leave-it, we-own-the-public-square bullying. There is supposed to be such a thing as accommodation, and that means as much personal (student) liberty as they can manage, consistent with good order and basic educational goals.
A public school does not have to be a crappy little totalitarian day orphanage.

When I was 17 and traveled around the world, a female Egyptian professor gathered all the women and gave us a little talk. She told us that Muslim men have been taught that there are two kinds of women. The private kind and the public kind. The private kind will be covered in clothing and will only be on the street in large groups or with a male relative, and they won’t be sight seeing, they will be purposefully walking to a residence. Muslim men are not allowed to touch such women. The public kind are uncovered, not with a male relative, and meandering or sight seeing. They consider these women basically prostitutes they are allowed to touch however they want on the street.
How Europeans didn’t get that message I will never know.
Agreed, and I am sure in CH the Orthodox Jews follow their own laws. They probably quietly do not swim with the school classes but instead swim in their own community pool in summer or on their own time.
Orthodox Jews in Switzerland have rich lives but they don’t make trouble. They take care of their own needs. They are the only Swiss who get to (for real) “keep” their graves.* We Jews aren’t allowed to dig up our dead after 20 years. The rest of the Swiss (except some special old cemeteries) only temporarily rest in their graves, then, whoops, gotta go. Make room for new dead.
*one of the funniest questions I did get when I first lived there. “In Los Angeles, how long do people stay in their graves?”
They ought to just bury them vertically (standing) rather than horizontally, as I understand is the custom in some countries where they don't have much available burial ground.

My daughters can go where they want in their own country and any Muslim POS laying a hand on them will pay dearly for that transgression.
