Senate Democrats on Tuesday refused to attend a committee vote on two of President Trump’s more controversial nominees, effectively delaying their consideration.
Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee boycotted votes to advance Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.), Trump’s pick to head the Department of Health and Human Services, and Steven Mnuchin, his selection to head the Treasury Department. The pair had been among some of the more contentious selections to join Trump’s Cabinet.

For a recess appointment to have effect, the Senate needs to bein recess or 10 days.
This can be taken directly to the Senate floor and voice voted if McConnell had any balls.

I don’t see why he shouldn’t be able to deem them acting cabinet officers until such time as the senate gets around to voting. I know he can’t do that, but it would be nice.

Hatch said he’d never seen anything like it, where the head of the committee didn’t get a notice that someone(s) weren’t going to show up.
Time for McConnell to direct the Sergeant-at-Arms to arrest these dems and march them into committee.

Democrats are breaking records for stalling and denying President Trump his slate of top cabinet appointees.
The Nasty “Party of No” has only approved three of Trump’s appointees as of Monday.

And they are so quick to charge the people we elected with caving when faced with intense pressure from the other side while they just sit and watch the show without lifting a finger in support.

Bad things happen when you don’t show up to vote. Who is the braintrust for the democrats these days, Donna Brazile.
They just approved Devos and Perry for a full vote in the Senate. I don’t get what the problem is. It seems like they are going at the right direction. I think last week the Republicans were in Philly so I can see why nothing was done. They Republicans probably should have waited until the work was done before taking a vacation to Philadelphia.
Well, at least Devos has been approved by the Senate committee.

We can rally. The March for Life was a yuge rally. They just don’t get reported. Hopefully there will be more opportunities for this especially as the weather improves.
