Protests and Attacks Cut Gavin McInnes’s Speech Short
Washington Square News ^ | 2/2/17 | Natasha Roy, Jemima McEvoy, Sayer Devlin, and Diamond Naga Siu

Gavin McInnes spoke for only three minutes without interruption until the jeers started. He exited the Rosenthal Pavilion in the Kimmel Center for University Life 20 minutes after he took to the podium and was escorted from a mixed room of jeering students and fans — once he was in the back, McInnes decided to leave the premise immediately.

NYPD and NYU Public Safety Officers secured the interior and exterior of the building, and even before entering the building, McInnes was attacked with pepper spray and was promptly treated by EMT after security and university officials waited outside the Kimmel bathroom door.

And once he started speaking, students verbally harassed him — they began the ridicule once McInnes made his first joke that did not bode well with the audience.

“When I got pepper sprayed, your eyes hurt obviously,” McInnes said as he imitated a squirt gun sound — what the protestor used to attack him. “And then you get this sense of panic like ‘How do I know this isn’t acid?’ Oh yeah, this isn’t Islam.”

The crowd started booing and saying, “Whose streets? Our streets” in a call and response style chant until McInnes’ speech was no longer audible.

Vice President of Student Affairs Marc Wais tried calming the crowd multiple times and asked everybody to return to their seats, but after failing multiple times, McInnes yelled at Wais as well.

“You’re ridiculous sir,” McInnes said after taking the microphone from Wais. “You’re dumb, liberal asshole.”

The crowd of protesters cheered after McInnes framed Wais as a supporter of the more liberal left. After the event, Wais said that that this is a follow-up to what happened last night at University of California, Berkeley.

Their goal isn’t to express themselves. Their goal is to stop anyone who disagrees from expressing themselves.

That video should be played, in a loop, on FNC and OAN and BREITBART!

Where were the campus police? The shouters should have been dragged out and kicked out of school, the minute they started that sh*t!

The dumb, too damned polite kids in the audience, who outnumbered that gaggle of libtards, should have rushed them and forced them out out the room! But nooooo...they just sat there, looking like damned deer in the headlights.

If Hillary had been elected and a faaaaaaaaaaaar lefty speaker was there and the CRs had pulled this stunt, you better believe that had they done what I the scum did, they would have gotten the treated as I posted above and worse!

I was just thinking something similar while watching coverage of the Berkeley anarchists. Their tactics can be effective in the short run if their opposition is only up for a fist fight however, “a well armed militia”......

Well, if some group of someones were to be serious about taking them on, it would be interesting to blend in with the human shield, the actual protestors they hide behind, the useful idiots, the SJW snowflakes. Then turn on them.

Wouldn’t that be a hoot.

The Fascist Brown Shirts are very busy. But the Fascist Democrat Movement is determined to lead a revolt against the United States, and install it’s puppet government

Since the anarchists wear masks, you’d think anyone can infitrate them by wearing masks, too.

I fantasize doing this, and when they start their violence, I would attack the mutha fakin’ msm who are there to broadcast and promote them! :)

But realistically, these goons seem to be trained and organized, so they probably can discern when someone outside of their group is trying to infiltrate them, even if the infiltrator is wearing a mask.

No, if you watch a few of these, they do hide behind the sheep who think it actually is a protest. Blend in with them, not the oxymoronic paid, organized “anarchists.” Then, turn on them.

No one shoots them. No one hangs them. Either of those events occurring a few times would end their nonsense.

Michael Rectenwald Clinical Professor of Liberal Studies

Ah a professor I could handle learning from. 8>)

You have to go to the link for the article to find out why, because I will not post his comments on this board. 8>)

But after reading the following I wold say the campus Republicans might as well just close the doors to their club. They are whimpy & useless. They sound like RINO's in the making. No thanks, we have enough of them already:

In a statement released an hour after the event concluded, the College Republicans issued a statement, which expressed their disappointment that many students on this campus were disrespectful to people with varying political viewpoints.

“Our intention was not to advocate for McInnes’s views, in fact many of us differ with him when it comes to certain ideas,” the statement said. “The purpose of this event was to promote free speech and not to promote certain ideas. The purpose of our club is to give students the opportunity to meet and listen to conservative speakers from all across the political spectrum, especially since we are the largest conservative organization on campus.”

The club continued to say that it does not endorse the views of all its speakers and guests, so it was a shame that the protestors could not be respectful of the speaker and verbally attacked some of the club’s members.

The dissenters labeled themselves as anti-Nazi protesters and gathered outside Kimmel over half an hour before the speech began. Police lined up outside Kimmel and only allowed people with NYU IDs inside — passersby could not idle outside the doors of Kimmel or in the main lobby.

The radical Left will eventually escalate, but at this point certainly each conservative public speaker can count on being pepper-sprayed walking onto the stage or backstage.

The point of saying the above is *not* to get a bunch of Rah Rah “We’ll shoot ‘em” online comments.

Instead, conservatives are going to need to be better-prepared for Brown-Shirt tactics against us.

Body cameras. Smartphones. The radical Left is wanting us to film them for the GOP’s 2018 and 2020 campaign commercials...because they want Democrats to lose big-enough to allow chaos to provide a leadership change.

Will the Left set up cold water traps? Will they roll thousands of marbles onto a staircase that we’re climbing?

Do you know how to defend against caltrops while you are running to attack an adversary? Because if you don’t, then they will bait you into chasing them and you’ll be maimed and down on the ground begging at their feet after stepping on one. You can send me a private FReemail if you want the anti-caltrop tactic. It doesn’t need to be posted where the enemy who browses here can also see it.

They are carrying poles (flags) to beat us, discharging fire-extinguishers to reduce vision, using highway road flares as “fireworks,” etc.

The leader of each Black-Bloc group wears a thing red bandana wrapped around her leg just above her thigh.

They all wear masks if they plan on violence.

These are things to note as we walk into an arena.

Likewise, to avoid the “skinhead” association, they all have long hair which is really rather useful for us to grab to drag them painfully to police officers, etc.

We should consider tagging them, tracking them via chemical or electronic means, and eavesdropping on them through social media or other. Drones?

A big score would be filming their pre-riot speech before the group arrives at their desired riot location.

If anyone has more advanced thoughts than just “shoot them,” pleas begin posting and discussing how best to deal with the new Left.

Never interrupt your enemy when they’re making a mistake.

Napoleon said that.

The saying acquires extra layers if it's true that he said it on the morning of Waterloo.

Apparently he was referring to Wellington's deployment in front of a forest, which would have prevented Wellington's orderly retreat. But fortunately Wellington's position had other strengths (a reverse slope) that Napoleon hadn't taken into account.

I recall the lyrics from a Guess Who tune bemoaning the state of American society.

Cardboard empire would you crumble to the ground as we watch by. Shipping magnate are you stranded on the ground with no dog to fly.

Around the table sat the kings of circumstance. The puppeteer would pull his strings and we would sing and dance as the cardboard empire fell.

Stoneage nero sat behind their desks of steel trading paperclips. Of our empire there was nothing left untouched but potato chips.

We sat down at the banquet and the jester danced a reel. The gladiator drew his sword we knew we were the meal, as the cardboard empire fell.

Who are the people that you think you are.

You can assign whomever you like to the stoneage neros gladiators and shipping magnates. At the time there was great unrest and dissent not unlike what's going on today. The lyric points out subtly that the rioters and protesters of the day were being used and manipulated. Relevant today the question goes out to the Anti-Nazi Rioters. "Who are the people that you think you are?"

That's what I see anyway.

Gavin is great.

The imbeciles can be insured by their parents until the age of 26; thus, their parents are responsible for their behavior. The parents should feel the heat.

God forbid my kids behaved like these a-holes.
