Update: A seemingly angry (judging by the tone) Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer obviously had to lash out and dismiss the Republican's plan for "TrumpCare"...
"Trumpcare doesn't replace the Affordable Care Act, it forces millions of Americans to pay more for less care. This plan would cut and cap Medicaid, defund Planned Parenthood, and force Americans, particularly older Americans, to pay more out of pocket for their medical care all so insurance companies can pad their bottom line.
It cuts taxes on the rich to make middle class families pay more. To make matters worse, this sham of a replacement would rip treatment away from hundreds of thousands of Americans dealing with opioid addiction, breaking the President's word that he would expand treatment, not cut it.
This bill is a giveaway to the wealthy and insurance companies at the expense of American families, and Senate Democrats will work hard to see that it is defeated."
Wow, sounds like a nightmare. Let's see what the bill actually says.

More government regulated health insurance. Republicans no longer believe in the free market.
Rand Paul just said on F&F that instead of paying a fine to the government for non-compliance we are now obliged to pay it to the insurance companies.
Completely unacceptable.
Those idiots in Washington took something that was working and made it suck beyond words. These idiots in Washington want to take it, change it, and only make it suck royally. Not good enough.
That's not a fair statement.
RINOs no longer believe in the free market.
On the other hand, if there were NO public policy, you'd have dirt cheap "insurance" that covered nothing. We want Major Med with reasonable exclusions, HRPs, interstate competition.
Actually it's RYNOcare, and I don't like it. It's a bad hybrid.
I'm pretty sure we want PriceCare.
So is Obamacare.
It's going to be labeled "Trumpcare" regardless so long as Trump signs off on it.
What about selling insurance across state lines? The monopoly must be broken.
Without this provision the bill is a disgusting alliance with the insurance companies and kick back business as usual.
Politicians are disgusting.
“We have to pass it to see what’s in it”-Paul Ryan
If you are still working you can pay over $400 based on your income for Medicare plus the cost of a supplement.
Ryano proved us right. All the bills repealing Obama”care” were complete FRAUDS!!! They think we are stupid, and some among the GOP supporters obviously are.
Throw out their RINO-Care with them!
The feds have no constitutional authority to be meddling in healthcare.
Healthcare needs to be run by the free market economy which gave America the best, most affordable, most available healthcare in the world until the feds began rooting around and screwing it up.
It appears that, instead of stepping forward, the Republicans stepped sideways.
Knock, Knock. Im from the Government an Im here to help you. How many times have we heard this? First it was the Democrats, now we have he Republicans. Acting as Insurance Agents (who Im sure we trust 100%) both parties are destroying the Free Enterprise System. When it comes to Health Care Insurance, Im Pro=Choice. If I want it I should be able to choose what I want. If I want birth control, I should be able to choose it. If I want coverage to have a baby, I should be able to choose it. Etc, etc, etc. The Free Enterprise System has worked for some time. The Government should get out of he Insurance Business altogether. Let the market decide what products are popular not the Government. It would be nice to be FREE again.
Oh, let the Dims “hang” for three years, identify the weak Dims up for election, and spring it after Trump’s re-election. :)
This plan is not what the peopel or presiudent Trump wants.
Dissolve the state line market restrictions!
Ryan and Congress are listening to their lobbyists, not to the people who elected Donald Trump.
The House Republicans are betting that Trump can never win another election. They are wrong. If they want another session out in the Trump woodshed, so be it.
If Congress does not fulfill the campaign promises of the President, dozens of House Reps are going down in 2018, and a dozen or so Senators to boot, including Graham and McCain.
REPEAL AND REPLACE!
The key is that you have no right to force me to buy your healthcare. The Credit is just a mechanism to force worker to pay non productive insurance premius. That is absolutely COMMUNISM. Its fine to buy across state lines and keep a 26 year old on the family policy. It is not fine for ME to pay for expensive pre existing conditions !! Put those people on medicade!! Close the VA— Put Vets on medicare and use the hospital infrastructure for people who can’t or wont buy their own damned insurance, so they don’t die in the streets. Why have the Republicans bought into forcing workers to pay the premiums of dead beats?
There is no constitutional right to taxpayer paid health insurance premium payments! Nor do we buy them cars or airplanes or show tickets in vegas!! Buy insurance if you want it. If you don’t then go to the ER or the VA hospitals.
Throw Trump out, too! He’s out there praising this crap sandwich!!! Wake up, people!
16th, 17th, and 19th. Those three guaranteed the inexorable progress toward totalitarianism. The 16th gave the Central Government control of our money. The 17th changed the nature of the Republic from a Federation of States to a Unified Central Government wherein the States become Provinces. The 19th created a majority vote that would always trend toward the Welfare State. My wife had to convince me of the 19th being unfortunate for the Republic but when I thought about it and had enough statistics in front of my face I understood.
Women should be allowed to run for and hold office, but not vote.
That's what I am afraid of, especially since Trump has expressed support for Single Payer in the past and has promised that poor folks will always get assistance. Repeal obamacare and if they just do one more thing- abolishing the tax exemption for Employer Health Insurance- the system will begin to sort itself out and medical costs will begin to decline, at least a ways, and Insurance costs will decline at least some.
Best, of course, for everyone is to eliminate ALL government interference in the medical market, including Medicaid and Medicare and no, I am not just trying to cut off those old folks. I AM an old folks. With no government interference costs have to decline to the point that they are just a normal household expense and for most folks would cost lest through a year than current insurance payments or even insurance payments, say, 10-15 years ago. There would be cheap catastrophic coverage insurance for the major events and organized charity (and churches) would take up the slack with the actually poor. The market works to the greatest efficiency of supply and delivery.
Ah, I understand. I was thinking of a retiree. I didn't think of Medicare for someone who is working.
