President Donald Trump — backed by advisers Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, his daughter and son-in-law — is reportedly planning a centrist push in an attempt to recover from a rocky start to his presidency.
White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus is "with the program," a senior White House official told Axios, but it isn't clear if chief strategist Steve Bannon is.
The shift from Bannon's slash-and-burn approach to a more "competence- and results-driven" one comes as the top Trump aide and former Breitbart head grows increasingly isolated within the administration.
Bannon reportedly threatened to quit the administration after he was demoted from the National Security Council this week, and has been engaged in a high-profile feud with Kushner, whose role in the White House has expanded in recent weeks.

Don’t forget that Trump’s campaign was about immigration, manufacturing, and making America great again before Bannon was part of the campaign. Trump isn’t going to allow himself to become a moderate like John Kasich. I would understand if Trump sent those missiles to get Russia off the front pages.
Not really. It is just that it is once removed from the Axios story, and they didn’t name sources, which is actually the usual with this type of story.
But let’s hope Jared and Bannon have patched things up and Trump has recommitted himself to the platform he ran on and the voters who put him in office (even though the AP tax story out today suggests something otherwise).
It seems that a few in FR did not get a firm handhold when they jumped on the “Trump Train” a few months ago...

There is a vote in Kansas and another state, special election like Georgia. Trump needs to get out there and reassure his base and pump up the voters. But he is a little busy now I understand. I read the Kansas R hasn’t run a good race but Pence is doing robo call for him. I personally hate robo calls.
President Trump didn’t help dispel any of these stories with his bizarre Twitter rants against the Freedom Caucus a few weeks ago, either.

Axios is really getting into the Fake New business. They reported on Thursday both Prebius and Bannon were to be fired and replaced by Gary Cohn and Kevin McCarthy.
Now they are staying and on board with a shift to the “center”? Yeah, right
And .. anybody with a brain is well aware that the Kushner’s ARE NOT CENTER PEOPLE - THEY ARE CLASSIC LIBERALS.
That tells me .. right out of the gate .. the people who wrote this have no idea what they’re talking about.
The President is already center .. because he’s not ideological .. he doesn’t see people as conservative or liberal (thus he’s conflicted by the Kushner’s desire to run everything), thinking they are doing it in his best interest; when I, believe they are just typical liberals who believe they know best because they’re smarter than the rest of us.
However, I do hope he realizes there is TRULY & REALLY a large gap between what Liberals believe vs. what Conservatives believe.
I recommend we pray for the President to have more insight into people’s motives regarding his administration’s goals.

It’s always fake if it’s something derogatory about Trump. If it’s good, anonymous sources or not, it’s yippy you o time.
As far as I’m concerned he’s already shifted to the center. But he’s still better than Hillary or Jeb.
Bannon is not the one who is becoming isolated
This is a media tactic that they tried during the primary and election: Separate Trump from his supporters by putting out fake stories how he liberal or moving liberal or being fooled by liberals in his inner circle or how he actually hired liberals for the cabinet or how the inner circle is fighting amongst themselves. The last one is actually what happens when you have more than one liberal, they fight for power. Keep the faith. The dems are just piranhas in the bottom of the boat flopping and biting. Death will come soon enough.
