The game is that last week Sessions (bad cop) noted that ANYONE here illegally is subject to deportation, and now Trump (good cop) is taking the high road. Bottom line, he can’t go after everybody at once, it would be stupid to attack this part of the problem head on right now when there are so many dangerous felons extant.

You can agree or disagree but hearing what you want to hear and the truth seems two different things for many people.

And somehow you think that doesn't apply to you. This clearly is not what he promised. Not until after he was elected did he began softening his rhetoric on the dreamers. I guess Governor Big Hair convinced him he had to have heart. The dreamers all have very extended family nailed to them.

Some of us worried when he did not undo DACA, looks like we had reason to be worried.

President Trump is still the very best hope we have of keeping the Republic but drip dripping away on every issue can cause a little concern. I know he has accomplished a great deal undoing some very stupid EOs and regulations but the average voter does not see that as a plus for themselves if Premiums go up as much as expected, they won't matter at all in the ballot box.

WASHINGTON – Young immigrants brought to the U.S. as children and now here illegally can “rest easy,” President Donald Trump said Friday, telling the “dreamers” they will not be targets for deportation under1 his immigration policies.

Not the same as "they'll have to go back" is it?

Taking the long view sometimes confuses some people.

The people that object to this are not confused, you may be or you may just be a paid shill.

That’s DAPA and an expansion of DACA.
The original DACA program goes on unhindered.

“Did anyone actually ever listen to what Trump said during the campaign.”

Yes. Did you?
This is what Trump said:

“We will immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties, in which he defied federal law and the constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants,” Trump said during a speech in Phoenix in August. “In a Trump Administration, all immigration laws will be enforced. As with any law enforcement activity, we will set priorities. But, unlike this Administration, no one will be immune or exempt from enforcement — and ICE and Border Patrol officers will be allowed to do their jobs.”

#NeverTrump whining never ends, no matter how much Trump winning is going on.

You guys are becoming increasingly pathetic. President Trump is going to accomplish more conservative agenda items than Reagan, and all the #NeverTrump clowns can do is bellyache, even as excellent progress is being made on curtailing illegal immigration.

Oh, that's right. Ronald Reagan was quite an "amnesty defender" in his own right.

You butthurt #NeverTrump agitators look sillier every day. Unhinged hatred really brings out the worst in you.

If we only remove those convicted of other crimes committed here we will still have 29 million illegal aliens.
He did say they all have to go.

No, but thanks to Ivanka and Jarod, Trump is going soft on Dreamers. He more or less has been hinting at this since the election and since he won’t rescind Obama’s Dreamers executive order, it is fairly clear where he is headed.

Hitler took 12 years with the most efficient system ever devised and couldn't come close to 30 to 40 million.

Would it have been any harder if he never started?

"I’d gladly trade the Dreamers for everything else-—deportations of all the criminals, the Wall, H1B limitations."

Really? Let's see, then...

Deportations of all the criminals - all those here illegally are criminals, i.e. they broke the law. Estimates put the number anywhere from 11 million to 40 million. So far deportations since Jan are around 24K? Boy, they're really putting a dent in those illegal alien numbers alright.

The Wall - ahh, the wall. Would that be the wall that Congress is steadfastly refusing to fund (since obviously Mexico isn't paying for it)? The one that hasn't had a single brick yet laid or yard of concrete poured?

So looks like you get nothing, and get to keep the Dreamers too. How lucky we all are.

Yeah, the liberal New Yorker has really delivered on immigration, for sure. Delivered for his Cheap Labor Express buddies in industry, that is. The American tax payer, well, not so much. Don't think I'll be holding my breath for all the promised but undelivered wonderful accomplishments of the Trump revolution.

Well, you can throw slurs all you want, but what Trump promised to do on day one, which is rescind Obama’s Dreamers executive order, he has not. That is not in question. It is a fact and it is black and white. It is really easy to do with a pen and a phone. He has hinted since the election that perhaps Dreamers can stay. It appears that is where he is headed.

As if that was the offer. Wake up it is the beginning not the ending.

Trump says..... Dreamers? No problem.
(Still trying to find out how many new applications dated 1/3/2017 and after have been approved.)

Sessions says.....All Illegals are subject to deportation. Including Dreamers who screw up.

Still winning.

Please don't go soft on this most vital issue, Mr President. The fate of America depends on you sticking to your guns.

The fate of the democratic party depends on him doing just that.

Everything is headed towards total enforcement including a 97% drop in people coming over the border thanks to Trump. DACA is a Dem/Media trap which is why Trump is waiting for the supreme court to over turn it. People like you who are utterly consumed by what’s 1/10 of 1/10 of the illegal immigration problem are not to be trusted.

"Get ready for a wider amnesty down the road."

Yep, doubtful that Mr. Trump will be deporting the parents/relatives of the young illegal "dreamers".

Can I identify as a dreamer and choose a law to violate, like not paying income taxes?
