You and I might wish that, but that’s not what he meant.

Trump needs to watch One America News. I’ve been able to watch in the last day or so and they have run a long quote by Theodore Roosevelt about people coming to this country must learn english or go back, they need to adopt American ways or they will fail.

Things along the line that we should not bend to immigrants but immigrants need to step up to what is expected in being an American.

These dreamers should have to sign some sort of agreement about living constitutional american ways and abiding by the laws before any sort of allowing them to stay/amnesty possibility happens. If they don’t sign - deport. If they break what they signed - deport.

WTF? So did Ivanka shed another tear for the children and get dad to soften up? This bringing family in as top advisors thing is an incredibly bad idea.

There are millions and millions of illegals. Of course dreamers will be at the bottom of the list.

Hitler took 12 years with the most efficient system ever devised and couldn't come close to 30 to 40 million.

And no I'm not making light of the Holocaust, I just want to point out that how difficult the job would be under the best of circumstances.

Aah, cut him some slack. Seriously.

Trump saying he won't be going after dreamers (for the time being, anyway) reduces effectiveness of them being used as political leverage talking point.

At this stage in the game, during these tumultuous times, and to deport large numbers of the decidedly more criminal types in the most politically orderly fashion (which Trump does have plenty of support for) Trump has to go easy --- where he can go easier --or at least look like he's being reasonable.

In end game strategy --- I'd say; ok, "dreamers" of the class here in the U.S. prior to --what was it -- the year 2011? --- can stay -- but politically speaking, at a price.

Stop, put an end to Illegal Immigration. Then, increase LEGAL Immigration (but at a price -- NO MORE ANCHOR BABIES).

That's a political formula that would be difficult for the Left (I mean, the Democrat Party) to not agree to. If the Democrats dug in their heels -- it would wreck them for at least decade -- during which legislation could be shoved through having even less Democrat Party input than they have leverage for now, at the moment.

Support the Dreamers in something along these lines (but wait for the last 24 to 18 months of his term to bring it out more fully visible on the table) and a second Trump presidential term could be all but guaranteed.

Oh get off it. You never Trumper douchenozzles are really something.

The guy has done more to get rid of illegals than Ronald Reagan ever did, and you whine like a child.

I’d gladly trade the Dreamers for everything else-—deportations of all the criminals, the Wall, H1B limitations.

Grow up.

When asked in one of the last Republican primary debates, what his administration would do about the millions of illegals currently in the country, Trump said, "They have to go."

His hardline stance on illegal immigration was my primary reason for supporting him over the other GOP candidates.

Please don't go soft on this most vital issue, Mr President. The fate of America depends on you sticking to your guns.

I would rather see those younger criminals “rest easy” at home - where they are legal. For now though, I’m happy to see President Trump deporting illegals guilty of other felonies too and discouraging new illegals from coming. Even if he cannot do exactly what I want instantly, he won the election, chose a man who seems to be a great Justice, and is deporting the worst of the illegals at a decent starting rate. Not bad for month #3 - and consider the shockingly evil alternative we were facing!

It’s about time someone reported his policies as they are - Not racist.

I tell people this all the time. He has never said a thing about getting all foreigners, particularly mexicans, out of the US. Just the criminals.

No it isn’t. No one sued to stop DACA.
The GOP should have been in court the next day after Obama did it, but they did not because they wanted him to do it.

I guess Brietbart is a bunch of never Trumpers too for reporting what Amnesty Don said:

"rest easy,” Trump said, because “this is a case of heart.”
